They were forecasting light snow possibly for this weekend, but as of this morning they are saying it's just going to be cold with some rain.
I think I'm going to let the boys carve pumpkins today. My in-laws are in town for the weekend :) so we need to stay busy. Richard is going to the LSU game, and I'm taking Bryce to a concert with the USAF concert band. I hope it's good.

Yes, Kim did pass through a couple of months ago! It was so much fun. I just wish my boys had been home and we had a whole week to talk! Her family is so precious.

He is not in foster care (Annslee was) and the pics from the orphanage kill me as he is in that metal crib with nothing .... I don't know where the blanket and dog we sent are (they are not in recent pics) my guess is somewhere for us to get when we pick him up but that wasn't what I wanted them to do with them of course.
He was born at a millitary hospital and then he and his birthmom went to the hosp in HCMC....she left on the third day. It is weird b/c with Annslee we have NO info at all but with him we have her name and address and the birthfather's.

Hannah was orphanage and through scanning blogs as soon as we got her referral, I found pics of her when she was younger, the crib pictures do kill you!! Laura, how long will you be gone when you travel for Coby?

Sorry, Annslee was dying to type, anyway, he came to the orphanage on April 21st (this was always the day I thought would be the birthday so that is kind of weird)

I have to agree with whomever said "the crib pictures will kill you" -- AMEN.
My older daughter was in a SWI with the metal cribs, no mattresses and no toys. Thankfully, though, the cribs were zipstripped together, so the kiddos could at least touch each other.

Yeah, a month is a long time, but didn't Guatemala used to be about that long and it seems like the families who are going to Africa are staying a while too.
Well, after our dream of Malia for years accepting the loss of that was tough to be honest and I think our biggest "God" moment was when I opened his pics (which I was a little afraid to do b/c I didn't know if I'd have the same feelings I had for Annslee's pics) and I saw those two fingers in his mouth just like Annslee : )

I definitely think the "take them with you" discussion is different for every family, you will know what is right and what is not - we did things a bit differently and our SW was upset at our choice - it all worked out as it was supposed to

Yes, 6th time unfortunately. He just needs to get a couple of sections up a point or two. He's like me...can't take those standardized tests. I feel so bad for him; he's a smart kid with a 3.0 GPA but the test scores aren't reflecting it. I cried myself to sleep for him last night, he was so discouraged and not excited about going this morning. It's one of those "mommy can't do it for you but would if she could" moments that just kill you. Thanks for the prayers!
