Thank You So Much Mindy...

Thank you so much Mindy! Do you all remember the Blog Party? Mindy donated a custom letter as part of the party and I was lucky enough to win. I asked for a feminine letter that had an asian presence. I wanted it to be something that could always be in Sophia's home. Above is what I received. Isn't it beautiful? I have asked to be able to purchase the remaining letters in Sophia's name. I am just speechless over the love and care that she put into this. The card came along with it and I wish you could see them in person because this photo does not do them justice. Mindy's blog is 'Princess and the Beads'.

Good Morning Everyone!

Good Morning Everyone! Slept in today. I love Saturday morning. Tim is making breakfast, so I'm going to get the coffee going. It looks gorgeous outside. I would imagine we'll be spending most of our time outside in the water today. I'm trying to get out and swim more this year. First to get Eli used to being in the water since he needs to be able to swim as quickly as possible being that the water is right outside our front door. Secondly, I'm hoping it will help firm my legs up a bit. It feels great knowing the we don't have any serious plans for today. I love summer!

The Purse Meme...

I have been tagged by 'Dragonfly and Ladybug' to reveal the contents of the only private place I have. Thank goodness I just switched into my summer purse last week, so the usual mess and mahem hasn't had time to accumulate at the bottom yet.
You can see that I'm starting to collect my usual pile of receipts. My husband insists that I keep them so he can balance the account (as you can see, he never does and I end up with a giant wad of receipts).
There is my cell phone, my sunglasses, my wallet, make-up bag, gum, a VBS memory verse buddy called Buc the horse, my work id, mini pads and tampons.
That's it girls! Not too exciting.

I Love the Fireflys....

I have always been captivated by fireflys. I have lovingly chased them since childhood. Just this week I have started to see them out here on the lake. They flood my heart with memories. I have taught my children to love them too. We catch them gently and keep them in our bug cage, but always let them go before we go in for the night.

Cyber Baby Showers...

We are starting to have quite a few babies being referred to our on-line friends and I was wondering if you all would be interested in participating in some cyber baby showers.

Here is how it will work. I will contact the parents and ask them if they are interested. If so, then I will have them put together a list of some items that they are interested in receiving or information on where they are registered.

I will put together a special cyber shower post for the family letting you all know that we are having a shower for them. If you have a relationship with that family and would be interested in participating, you can leave a comment on the shower post or e-mail me directly letting me know that you want to participate and giving me your e-mail address so I can get you the family's address and any gift information I may have. I will post my e-mail address on the shower invitation post.

I will e-mail you behind the scenes the address of the family we are holding the shower for and we can all send shower cards and gifts. I think it will be great fun and an opportunity to show love and support to our blogfriends and their new children.

There is no need to leave your e-mail address on this post. When you see a babyshower post for a family that you have a relationship with and you would like to participate, just leave a comment on their baby shower post or send me an e-mail.

Thank you so much Secret Buddy! I can't believe that you are following my blog AND that you took the time to go through my past posts and see that I was born and still have family in Kansas City. I love the KC Royals onesie. I actually still have a program that was signed by George Brett when I was in 6th grade. He was so hot back then.

The puzzle is wonderful. In your card next month, could you include your LID and agency? I won't look you up and spoil the surprise. Mine is 2/6/07, and I'm with Bethany. If our LID's are close and we're with the same agency, there is a chance we could be in China together.

It's Monday and VBS starts tonight!

Happy Monday Everyone~ I am completely exhausted from our fabulous weekend, but I'd better find a way to get it together. Tonight our church's Vacation Bible School starts and I'm going to be seeing a lot of children. We're doing the Avalanche Ranch program and I am in charge of Chadder's Wild West Theater. Yes folks, I will be showing the on-going drama of Chadder the Chipmunk who wants to be a real cowboy and is travelling on an ambushed wagon train. I know you just laughed!

Anyway, I think I have a jean skirt,but that's about it as far as western wear. I'll come up with something.
