Please Continue to Support The Auction...
Daleea's auction site for The Starfish Foster Home in China has been an amazing success. Enough money has been raised to nearly pay for an entire surgery. The support from this community has been absolutely amazing.
Amanda from Starfish has let me know that she is working to add 3 more spina bifida babies to the home and is working to coordinate surgeries for 4 heart babies in one of her area orphanages. She has just returned from a successful heart surgery for baby Breanna and just left again early today for Shanghai with baby Viola to treat her hemangioma.
Amanda is one of the most driven and committed people I have ever met. She is determined to heal every baby she can. We are in an amazing position to be able to help.
Please search your homes to see if there is anything that you could donate to the auction and bid on what you can.

Still Waiting...
A little blue today. It's starting to seem like a long time now. 16 months waiting after 9 months of paperwork. So many babes are coming home, but not one for us. My girlfriend who gave me all of her little girl clothes found out she has a new little princess on the way. I am happy for her truly, but it will be sad for me to fold up all of those clothes and give them back. My agency is an utter source of frustration. 16 months just to see the SN list when if we would have gone with any other, we would have been home with our child a year ago. Yes I have faith, it's just a hard day today. So I'm putting out my waiting picture....again...it was out a year ago as well.

Strange Storms, Backwards Underwear and Fighting over Pull-ups.
My title seems to be the theme of my week. We are having a lot of rainy and windy weather here in Michigan. Just when it looks like it's going to clear up, we get hit again. Things are becoming soggy outside. I guess it will be ok this week as long as it clears up by the weekend.
Eli is now ALWAYS wearing his underwear backwards. I buy him the little boy Hanes underwear with cartoon characters on the rear and he wants to see the characters. When I dress him, I put them on correctly, but each day when he comes home from daycare they are backwards. Then, this morning he told me he wanted them backwards, so I gave up on that small battle and backwards it is!
The big challenge is giving up his night time pull-ups. He no longer wears them at nap time and is usually dry in the morning when he wakes up. I'd rather not be buying them if I don't need to and I'm tired of pull-ups to be frank. But Eli's not going for it. Huge tears and carrying on last night. This is a storm I'm willing to weather though. I'll give in on backwards briefs, but the Pull Ups are going!
