No Sleep!

I can't get any sleep in my house! Usually if I can get to sleep before my husband does I'm fine. He snores. If I fall asleep before the snoring starts, I'm fine. If I don't it's a night of battling. I'm constantly poking at him, telling him to roll over. He mostly snores on his back (which is his favorite sleeping postition). Now Eli, our 2 year old is waking up every night and wanting to come to bed with us. He tosses and turns and I end up having to move to the couch. We're working to steer him back to his own bed-not working well. On the weekend mornings, I usually end up waking up earlier with Eli. Somehow the husband sleeps through him waking up-I think he ignores it and pretends to sleep until I break down and get up.
So, at this point, I think I have slept maybe 15 hours in 3 days. I'm exhausted.

Ouch! You acutally get three hours more sleep than I usually get in the same 3 day period, but I don't have a husband and kids to take care of like you do, so I feel really bad for you. I know how drained you must be feeling!

Drink lots of coffee this morning!

I hope you are able to take a nice long nap today. Can you wear earplugs to bed? I go on church retreats and they are the first thing that goes into my suitcase!

Your house sounds like my house. Isn't it always feel better to know that others are going through the exact same thing? I have to wear ear plugs due to hubbies snoring. And sleeping on the couch for one of us is a norm around here. I can't sleep with my kidlet in my bed either as he is too active. Between the 2 of them sometimes I think I'll go wild.
Advice? I use ear plugs and if I must I might use a mild sleep agent like benadryl and/or sleep on the couch where no one bugs me (except the cat who gets thrown outside.)
sorry RMJ, hope tonight you find restful sleep (you and me both)

My husband snores... I wake up all over the house.
The nasal strips work a bit... have you tried them?? I have 2 sound machines next to my head and a loud fan running and still I often wake elsewhere.
I get mad at him for sleeping soundly.
hope tonight's better.

Did you get my square???

Arg!! I lost my comment! Sigh...
Hope you can get some rest soon, sweet girl. When you can;t sleep, it makes for a difficult day and I can relate.
K2 used to snore, but since we found out that he has allergies and got him medicated, it's been silent!
Get some rest!

owww...that does not sound good! Thankfully my husband doesn't snore. I sleep like a baby and frankly, I am a little worried about what I will be like when I get my little one and sleep deprivation kicks in. Just think you will already be trained and ready for those sleepless nights! :)

Hope your get some sleep tonight.Sweet Dreams.

Yikes! That is tough, I'd have to wear earplugs and take a gravol after 3 days of that.

I pray you sleep slow tonight......

I so now the problem! My DH snores SOOOOO much and SOOOOO loud! The poor thing wakes up in the morning with bruises all over his ribs from me hitting him in the night.

Sharing a bed with someone who snores is no fun...did you try breathe-right strips on him?

Make sure that DH looks after the kids this evening while you get an early night.

That is soooo hard, I am one who needs my sleep so I can relate to how you are feeling. Hope tonight you can catch up:)

I love the phot, you use such great pics on your site!!!
Sorry about lack of sleep, do all husbands snore??
Mine sounds like a freight train rolling into our room. I wear ear plugs, he goes to the kids if they cry(the first time) and then gives me a little nudge then i take my turn.
There has been some nights I can still hear him through the plugs, those nights I beat(not really, roll him over lots) him.
Hope you get some much needed rest soon.

I remember how frustrating that was! (I'd end up in the guest room with to escape the snoring). Hope you catch up soon!

Oh goodness. Go to bed early tonight, before your hubby gets in there. I've started using earplugs. My husband does some snoring, so this really helps. I have to keep the monitor to S.G.'s room close to my head and turned up really loud.

I bet some ice cubes on the tummy would get your hubby to stop snoring for a while.JUst be prepared to run fast.

I don't get much sleep either but that's just my body that can't seem to fall asleep and stay asleep. I hope you get some rest soon.

Send your husband to a sleep clinic! Seriously. My husband went 3 years ago to save our marriage. He was diagnosed with sleep apnea. It's treatable with either surgery or a breathing machine. He sleeps with the machine and I get a good nights sleep too. We are all happy now and very, very rested. He travels with his machine too.
