Such an amazing time in our lives! We too are a republican family who voted Obama. My husband is taking the day off, but I will be working at school and am looking forward to experiencing this through the eyes of 750 junior high students. Can't wait!!
We are so excited for tomorrow... and I so never thought I would live to see this day. I am glad I was wrong. Our daughters will grow up with a new reality.
I have tried 3x to comment today and couldn't - hopefully this will go through and if you have 3 comments from me sorry :( I've been catching up with your blog. Hope you are hanging in there - well as best you can. The wait is just horrible and these latest rumors got my hopes up again. Hope to not have more dissappoint this week.
I just read your comment to me. My son and husband have been doing airsoft for awhile and I think that's what helped Joseph take to trap easily. It's a lot of fun. Hopefully we'll be able to continue these sports - we are having a heck of time finding ammo in our neck of the woods. Bass Pro sells out constantly.
What a beautiful family! I'll have to catch some of the news after work to see how everything went.
Noticed you have a bookmark of The Shack on your side bar. I read that a few months ago. What a wonderful book. Our youth Pastor was on the retreat a couple of months ago and the author Mr. Young was there. He got to sit in one of his workshops! He got to talk to him afterwards and he couldn't believe what a down to earth guy he was.
As always, I remain skeptical of what will happen; how anyone can solve all the problems of the past; how anyone can prevent the problems of our future. I do pray for relief for our military families; for our poverty-stricken; for our homeless; for the sick; for each and every state....Perhaps President Obama will be our best but I reserve judgement until I see proof. I will not however reserve my hope!
"Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, KNOWS that we know, and holds us responsible to act." Proverbs 24:12
I am an everyday woman. I am married to my soulmate. I have three sons ages 16,13 & 4. Adoption was never something that I had planned to do, but through an interesting path, God has led me and my husband to pursue the adoption of our daughter Sophia from China. It has changed me in so many ways. I cannot wait to look in the mirror and see the woman I will be when this journey is over.
