- I am an everyday woman. I am married to my soulmate. I have three sons ages 16,13 & 4. Adoption was never something that I had planned to do, but through an interesting path, God has led me and my husband to pursue the adoption of our daughter Sophia from China. It has changed me in so many ways. I cannot wait to look in the mirror and see the woman I will be when this journey is over.

Love the post below with the dogs racing for the tennis balls!! I have a golden retriever pup that would just love to join in this fun and oh, how she could use the exercise....can I send her to you for
a week or so?? LOL! Retriever pups are supposed to get 3 hours of vigorous exercise daily so they don't drive you crazy. She is driving us crazy, so I guess she is not getting enough exercise. : )

Today. For the first time. Ever. My doctor saw me as a person. A person adopting. A person who feared a doctor's physical, required in order to get them to write a letter stating that everything was physically cool with me and I was a good adoptive parent. With only weeks to go. It could have stopped everything. She smiled. She asked questions. She showed an interest in me. In us (Aly). In Alyzabeth.
She saw me and I was able to see her...
