Good morning friends
Good Morning Amy! You are the first one. What are you guys doing this weekend?
Good morning everyone! I hope you all have fun and safe plans for this weekend.
Please keep the Chapman family in prayer as the memorial service for Maria is at 11 (Central) time today...they will need all of the strength they can get.
Im off today, work Sunday night, then off Monday. Nothing really..Not a big deal, what about you?
Good morning, all. I wanted to stop in and say have a great Memorial Weekend to all my south of border BLOG friends.
I am off to dragon boating this am, but wanted to stop by for a minute.
Have a good one.
Lea
xo
they have been heavy on my heart the last 2 days. I really can not read about it anymore without it brining on the tears
Good Morning Laura! I have been thinking of the Chapman family since I heard about what happened. I am just so sad about the entire situation. They have to mourn one child and find a way to re-build another emotionally. Plus, it sounds like the other little ones were witnesses. It all is just so awful.
Hi there Lea! I think dragon boating sounds really cool. Have a great time.
I saw that Margaret got some good news this week
I am glad you are getting some time off Amy.
We are staying home and having a lot of fun. Eli has discovered the joy of fishing, so we fished all day yesterday. Tim and I went to the store to stock up on food.
We are waiting for some dear friends to show up and open their cottage.
oh that sounds like fun
Kimberley, we are on our way! Annslee would LOVE to fish with Eli : )
There was a lot of good news 2 new babies referred.
One to Gail at Aging with Grace, a son they will name Will
And one to Paulette from Love You Forever, a little girl she will name Annaliese
If you bring Annslee here girl, I don't know if I could let her go home. I don't know what it is, but that little girl is just in my heart. I kept her Valentine's card photo on my desks for months, and finally took it down because everyone kept asking if I had finally gotten my Sophia.
we got a new nephew this week!!!!
Michaels got a sweet picture up!!!
What a gorgeous baby Amy, Congratulations!
Sweet Cameron Sebastian Hall Christopher is the little brother to Basil ALexanger Seaborn Christopher
No clue where Sebastian came from by Hall and Seaborn are both family names that go way back
where did everyone go?
I don't know, I was wondering that myself. I wonder if they went to go and look at the new babies.
Love new babies..
Me too. It does my heart good to see them.
Did you say you may be going SN Amy?
you know we are talking about it..Not sure if this is the right time though. I do have my checklist filled out though, haha!
With your agency, do you have to completely shift over?
We don't, we can look and put in a request but still keep our regular slot.
SO what do you have planned for next week?
we are not consider a waiting family until we accept a referral. Until then, we are in the regular program.
I did check out a majority of boxes..Ill definitely post if and when we turn it in
I'm off on Monday which is fabulous for the holiday. Then it's back to work and the same old same old.
Today I am hoping that my good friend Cheryl is out with her family. She has a cottage on the lake where we live year round. They are supposed to be out this weekend to open everything up. She and her husband are Tyler and Eli's Godparents and they have 4 daughters who I have known all of their lives are like my own.
Hello ladies, it's been a while since I had some time to stop by on a Saturday morning chat.
I am still visiting your blog RMJ even if I comment less.
Sounds like you're going to have a great weekend Kimberley. And I wish a good one to everybody with a lot of good weather, good friends and family!
We have a packed weekend here: Mandarin class in an hour, play date for Maƫlle this afternoon and 2 Birthday parties tomorrow in a row...
How are you Juliette? It is so good to hear from you.
Wow!! That is a lot to do, but it sounds wonderful. How is Maelle?
sounds like everyone has some fun plans!!!!!
Any good baby names Amy?
Amy works in a hospital and always shares unusual baby names with us.
Good Morning everyone! Now I'll go read all the posts! Back in a minute!
Good Morning!! Margaret.
Good morning!!
yeah margaret! Hello! So happy to hear your good news this week
Lets see...We had a Sanjaya and I had a sweet China girl named Anna who was 4 have surgery. It was nice talking to mom, she has 3 SN kids from China!
RMJ, Wish we were at the lake this weekend. I hope it is gorgeous!!!
Amy, if you ever want to talk about your checklist or the process. Let me know. I was ready long before Wes was. He needed more time but now that his son is about to come home, he is so happy we changed course!!!!
We got TA!!!!!
Maƫlle is doing great! We go to the Bday party of her little crush tomorrow so she's over excited!
thats awesome
Good morning Pam!
It sounds like you have the most amazing job Amy. Not sure if I would like the nights but the way you get to touch each child's life and their families. Must be amazing.
Good Morning Pam! How are you?
Congratulations! It's good to read families are still built and grown when we are down about the whole process.
Hey, Amy!!!
Got the S and p shakers. They are too cute.
We are hoping just to have relaxing weekend!!!
I am doing really good. I am SO happy that this is a holiday weekend. I am off. YEAH!! That just makes me happy. I am vacating at home. You know, I really enjoy that.
margaret, its more the way they touch mine. Since we were logged in, I have taken care of 175 Chinese children and each one has opened my eyes to something..
pam and jeff, there is no reason why we have not met yet!!!!!
It is so good read about new babies coming home. I think it keeps us all hoping.
MM-
Congrats on TA!! I am so happy that you are finally going to get Graeme. He is just too cute.
Pam won a contest I did and she one some Salt and pepper shakers from our disney cruise
Wow Amy, I didn't know that you cared for 175 Chinese babies at your hospital.
Juliette,
I went to see your blog and will definitely go back when I have more time to spend.
The pics of the new referrals are so cute, RMJ.
thats in 13 months..its simply amazing..oops I meant 75 not 175
That is cool Amy. I have some snow white and dopey s&p shakers from Disney World.
Good morning everyone! I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.
Amy-I know it is crazy. You have met people all over the US and we are in your backyard. I was just looking to see if we are making it to FF this month. Our Volunterr picnic at work is at the zoo the first Saturday of June. We are taking my four year old nephew. He is spending the night with us the Friday night before to play with our vacum(sp?-I forget how to spell words that I do not like). He loves to vacum our house with a little bissel vacum. I told him he can come over ANY time. So, it looks like we won't be there for the 4th birthday party.
thats awesome. thats a cool thing to collect..My gma collected those long ago
Thanks Pam! I think we will spend our weekend in nesting overdrive and packing mode. At least what I can pack a couple weeks before we leave.
We are waiting on Consolute appointments but think that we will leave June 5....soon
and hold him for the first time on June 10th....sounds like a magical day to me!
Hey, Kristy!!!
Margaret I am so happy for all of you. I can't wait to see him finally in your arms!!
Pam, thats probably a good thing. Because once you go to a first friday gathering, you are hooked and you start rearranging your schedule for it..hahah
not sure if we will be there either
Good Morning Kristy,
How are you?
Good morning kristy
Wow Margaret, June 10th! That is so wonderful!
Hi Pam!! Pam what is your lid?
Lid 10/19/06.

Have a fantastic weekend ladies. Enjoy the long weekend, for us up north it was last week.
Hi Kristy!!!
Thanks everyone!!! I can't wait to see him, hold him, know him and love him.
Lily is so excited. I hope she does well on the trip.
Juliette,
I have always thought you were amazing. You have left some truly wonderful comments for me. And your family is just beautiful. Plus, I love seeing the french on your blog. Isn't that funny?
Wes is home with my coffee. We ran out this morning. I am going to go sip coffee with dear hubby and start our busy weekend. So good to chat with all of you. Have a wonderful weekend ladies!
Good morning to you to Amy! Thanks Pam ...all this time and I don't know why you are not on my bloglist.
Have a great weekend Margaret! I am so happy for you and your family.
It is a lot longer to write my post each time in both French and English but I like that my family and friends there and my bloggy friends over here can follow our adventures.
We are going back this summer so we'll be posting a lot of pics.
Ok need to go get ready for Chinese lesson.
Enjoy your day!
Have a great day and weekend Juliette!
OK Pam you are officially on my bloglist.
Did any of you see the tragic post on Football and Fried Rice (Sara) about the little girl that passed away??
And if any of you get a chance please go to my blog and read the post about needing my prayer warriors. I would really really appreciate a few prayers from all you, it would mean alot to me. The power of prayer is already at work here.
I didn't see the post Kristy. I'll go over and check it out.
Such sad news this week
I did see that post Kristy. Very sad. There are 4 children that I know of who passed away over the past week.
Morning ladies! Long time, no chat for me.
Yes this has been a tough week, but you know God gives us these kind of weaknesses to remind us that we need him .
Good morning Marla! How are you?
Doing well, just counting the days till my kids are out of school and we can goof off!
Yes doesn't that sound great!!!
Kimberly I love that silly picture of Eli with his eyes looking up!! Tooooo cute!
Ladies I could sit here all day and talk to you but yesterday I unloaded and put out a yard of mulch and today I need to go back and get another yard to spread!! Yesterday the heat index was 105, so I need to get started a little earlier!! Have a great and safe weekend!! Love to all of you.
Good Morning Marla!
Kristy,
Eli was such a ham last night. He fished all day long. Which I think is amazing for a 3 year old. We had a hard time getting him to go to bed.
I need to get some mulch too. I have 4 more hostas to split, so hopefully I can get that done this weekend. Then I need to get some mulch in the yard.
Have a great weekend, Kristy!
Marla,
Your blog looks just darling!
randomness here. Yesterday was our LID annivesary month which meant anotheer book and I totally recommend the one I picked out. Its sweet and made me cry as I read it.
its called Cookies and other life lessons and its all about things you can teach children with cookies like sharing and not being selfish
Hi gals just wanted to pop in and say hi.Off to do laundry and other chores... The down side of no wife to do the work...err I meant to say help with the work.(sorry I just had to say that). LOLOL
Hope you all have a great weekend1
I saw the book Amy and it looks really cute. I love that you get a book each month.
No good names?
I am still here. I got side tracked. My mom had bunyion surgery. I was just talking to her about icing her foot.
I just want to wish everyone a wonderful Memorial Day!! Don't forget to enjoy EVERY day of your week!!
Pam
Have a wonderful weekend Mr. Brian!
Thanks Kimberley! I love your header today, it made me stop and pray right then when I saw it.
You have a great weekend too Pam!
I have heard bunyon surgery can be pretty painful.
I actually looked up the young man whose headstone she is lying at. I googled him and the story is so sad. The young woman was his fiance. He turned down a college scholarship to go to war. He said if he didn'g to who else would. He was killed when some type of bomb went off outside of the vehicle he was riding in.
Ugh, that is just heartbreaking. My dh was a Marine, so I have a special place in my heart for all those families. Thankfully, I never had to send my man off to war, I can't even imagine what that would have been like.
That picture really broke my heart. I can just feel her grief!
Pam. we have to meeet soon!
RMJ,
Sanjaya came in this week and Lily was pretty popular this week. Baby came back. Shes 11 now!!! yes her name is baby !
Hi karen! I miss you!
Good Morning Special K,
How is little Micah?
My boys did really well with their tube surgeries and it made such an amazing difference.
Their language skills just bloomed and no more infections for either one.
Do you mean Sanjaya the guy from American Idol, or did someone name their baby Sanjaya?
Hi Am! Hi all!
Micah is doing just amazingly well. I think his hearing has improved. He now winces when he hears a loud noise. He has started repeating more and more of what we say. He's had a language explosion this week!
This family named their baby Sanjaya after the AI singer..totally different nationality..Very cool family
I can not believe I have not met Micah yet!
What are you doing tonight Amy? We'll be at Sheridan's house.
That's great Karen!
LOL @ Sanjaya, Amy. Oh, and I love the $47K bed on your blog! :) Very cool!
Good Morning everyone!
Just glanced through the comments to try and catch up, but I'm sure I've missed something.
Margaret, congratualations on TA! I haven't checked my email yet this morning so I don't know if my Sis has gotten hers.
Kimberley, I have a bunch of Hostas near my front door. THey are a mess. How exactly does one separate them? My thumbs are notoriously black.
What are you guys doing at Sheridans? It was sooo nice to see him last week.
LynnMarie will love the bed..We are going to put it in the tv room as thats the only place it will fit.hahahaha
just kidding by the way
Well, you take a spade and you divide them in half, circle around the side you are going to remove and take it out, leaving half of the plant. Then you transplant the other half to a location where it has plenty of room to grow. You are supposed to do it when they are first coming up. I got some of mine done then. I have 3 more I'd like to do, so we'll see. Hopefully I can get them done this weekend. They are just too big.
whats a hosta?
Haha, Amy. For a split second when I saw it on your blog, I thought WOW, they are seriously going to spoil that girl! :)
Can you imagine what it would be like to be able to afford things like that? I can't!!
those of you guys participating in the wt loss blog, we sooo need to get to posting again!
It's a green leafy plant that I'm sure you would recognize if you saw it. It is a shade lover and grows wider with time. It's not a tall plant, but it can overpower other things as it spreads out.
We're coming up to celebrate Sheridan's birthday. I don't know if we have plans tonight though.
If we wanted to do a room like that, Im sure my close friends and family and even my First Friday friends would share their feelings ..heehee
Good Morning... I am going to try and catch up.. I have been up and down to the showers and now we are drying some towels for the day.... So while they are drying I figured I would chat...LOL
oh I hope you have a good time....He is such a special little boy with an awesome family
Hi! Just popping in to say hi while I slid across the floor on my mop doing my usual Saturday morning clean up.
Enjoy your weekend gals.
Thanks, Kimberley. I'm sure I'll kill them anyway. They sure have gotten wide though. Lots of green now and not very many purple flowers. Wish my Lilacs would grow so quickly!!
Hi K1, hope you are doing well
Missed you all last week. Got here 1/2 hour before the end of the Chat but you were all out enjoying the sunshine.
Good Morning Deb!
Hi, Amy!
Ladies,
I am going to leave the chat in a couple of minutes to start our day, but you can hang out and talk as long as you like.
I think I'm going to put in summer chat hours. My kids want to go fishing.....again : )
It's beautiful again this week!
So Karen...how's mav doing????
Hi to Brian if he's still here.
There should be another guy on here soon, if he isn't already reading quietly in the background. Are you there R?
Amy, will Michael be joining us too?
He seems really nice.
Its been so wonderful and our pool opened this week but we havent been yet..It would be great to meet some of you guys this summer if we travel
Come to Michigan Amy!!
RMJ, he's well.
Apparently he's reading MY blog now, not over here yet.
That and feeding his cats.
No, michael is working this morning
Well, my kiddos are ready to head outdoors so I think I'll go with them. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
He IS very nice. (although I guess guys think being called 'nice' is the 'kiss of death'.
Tell Mav that I say hello and it is always a pleasure to have him join us.
I have to scoot though and get dressed and out to do some fishing. Eli has asked me again to go.
