I am taking Friday off from work, so I am kicking my Memorial Day Weekend off early. I have to say that the families of the fallen soldiers from this war we are still in are filling my thoughts today. I saw the photo that is in my header and I just couldn't escape the magnitude of it. There are over 5,000 mothers who will mourn their sons and daughters this weekend, their children who have passed away in this war. Mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, children, brothers, sisters, grandparents all who will spend this weekend in painful tears over their loss. My heart goes out to them and to the families who have lost loved ones in previous wars. God Bless Them.

I've got a tear in my eye right now. The men and women who serve in our all-volunteer armed forces have my utmost respect. Let us never forget those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
That a powerful header. I hope that you have an amazing weekend.

Enjoy your Memorial Weekend.
Good for you for taking an extra day to spend with family.
I saw this picture a while ago and I cant tell you the emotions it brings up in me. Having Steven come home two times from Iraq alive is overwhelming and we are so grateful to our Father in Heaven. But I just have to admit that Frank and I have talked alot about having Survivors guilt...and this picture really brings it to the surface. I pray for all of those families , my heart breaks into a million pieces for them.
As for your home,it is beautiful and what a view from the front porch. Being a lake kid from a lake family , I just love it. Two more weeks and its off to lake we go. This is the first summer in ten years that I won't be able to just pack the car and go anytime, anyday of the week. All of my family takes their campers down after Memorial weekend and they stay there until after Labor day. We are basically back and forth all summer and this summer I am working monday thru thursday every week. I am working because I am afraid with the price of gas our China flights are going to be astronomical!!! But you can bet come thursdays around 4:30 we will be on our way to the lake most weeks!!!! Your home is great and you are a Beautiful Person!!!!
Love and blessings, Kristy
ps I think if you dont mind I am going to copy that picture??

As someone who has had family overseas in Afghanistan, I know how scary it is. My heart goes out to all the families who've lost loved one. It's so sad.
