Good Morning Everyone! Welcome to the Saturday Morning Chat! A very windy snow storm blew through last night so everything is white this morning. We don't really have any firm weekend plans. Verna the Blogfairy and I are working together again for a new benefit we'll be rolling out in February to help the children at Starfish Foster Home. This is a little different than anything we've ever done before, so keep your eyes open for it.
Thank you to everyone who came by for the Biggest Chat Group Saturday ever! It was a great morning. The chat room is closed now.

I wanted to stop in and say hello. I decided to use your idea of the New Years cards and send some out to all the people who wrote letters of reference for the adoption, just to keep them in the loop and introduce a little, tiny Chinese culture.
I hope you have a great weekend. No snow in Toronto this morning but yesterday I had wind burn when I came in from walking the dogs.
It was really bad here last night. I was having a hard time driving. Come by anytime, the Sat. Morning Chat is every Saturday and everyone just hangs out and talks.
Do you have any good weekend plans?
We don't have big plans and that is so nice.
This am we will go to The St. Lawrence Market, that is a big market here in Toronto and maybe a movie.
What about U?
I just went over to your blog. It is so cute.
You know what? I hate to admit this but our Christmas things are still up. We are going to get all of that down today. My husband is making a pot of coffee right now and Eli is watching the Wizard of Oz.
How did you find our blogs? I always like to know how people find us.
well of course Verna did that! But, thank you.
Yes, its a huge pain putting it all away. by the time I did it the basement was in such a mess that I needed to clean it up to make room for the decorations to have a place.
I always love all your graphics the one this morning is adorable. You must tell me where you got it.
you know what? I used to follow the site that has the adoption stories and Stefanie was on with her story and then I lurked around the BLOGS for ever before creating one for myself.
GOOD MORNING...
How was last night..
I wish I lived closer to you two..
I get my graphics all over the place. It's my evening wind-down, so usually at around 9pm I will sit and hunt for graphics for an hour or so until I get tired and go to sleep. I have thousands of them at this point. I break them into different folders for holidays, times of year, quotes etc.
Many are from commentcherry.com, satisfaction.com and some are from chat groups. Also if you go under google and click on images and type in what you are looking for you can find a lot of things.
Verna makes a lot of things for me too.
Hi Kim!
We were talking about you last night. We wish you lived closer too. We had a great time. I forgot my camera but Steffie took pictures.
Lea is on and she has a newer blog.
Thanx for the tip. I will step-up my search.
I like the one on your sidebar of the woman out in the cold. That one is really pretty.
Hi Kim,
I was checking your BLOG out. Love that BIG Bird in China too cute!
I hope it was GOOD things...
LOL..
Good morning Lea...
How are you this morning???
Kimberley- I am going to post a little swap that I found over at "Waiting to ASENND"
Thought it might be fun..If you want to do it to.. she said to just put kind of what I did..
Holy Cow Kim!
I ran over to your blog and it looks like Christmas over there, you received so many great gifts this past week!
Lea- I will be stoping by your blog now...LOL...
Watch out...
I saw Nancy's bow swap this morning and told her to sign me up. I love swaps. I love getting mail, I'm like a little kid.
I'll do a post for it this afternoon.
Lea, do you like to swap? You should sign up, it's fun.
Okay.. I just put it up on my blog..
Just something small.. but fun..
The sweater that Carrie made Isabella is AMAZING..
It is sooo pretty..
Did you see the cute little doll from my SECRET BUDDY..
*YAWN*
Morning everyone...
I must run, my turn is the shower but what the heck is the swap thing?
Hi there Rhonda!
How are you? I just got my first cup of coffee.
I'm too tired to make coffee...how sad is that? :P
If you go to assend.blogspot.com you can see Nancy's post. You sign up and are assigned 2 or 3 people who you send the designated item to and they send it to you also. Nancy's is a bow swap.
Have a great shower!
Woops! It's asennd.blogspot.com
There's a mistake for ya!
Did you have a night out last night? How's the weather? We are freezing here in Michigan so it must be cold in Canada.
Ok, I see that I am in! How fun.
No work today Kim?
I can't believe you didn't take your camera last night ....
Was it just you and Stef.???
How FUN!!!
Nah, overall just tired.
It's FREEZING here...but no snow. I hate it when it's cold and no snow. :(
Hey Lea. :)
It is -10 and a wind chill of -28 right now.
Hope you and Steffie had a fun time last night.
I plan on going to a dive bar and grill with my small group from church tonght.Been there once before and there are no words to decribe it other then..... ewwww but it is fun to say you have been there.
I am getting ready to go for my Saturday morning ham and cheese omlet at the local coffe shop.
Have a great weekend and I am glad to know Steffie did not get you thrown in jail last night. You never know with that wild gal.Good thing you were there to keep her in line.
Hi Rhonda..yes it is cold and no snow. Very gray outside.
Oh YES... I am just jumping back and forth...LOL
My husband might be taking Nick to get his drivers license today..He never really made a big deal till about 17 so that is when he got his permit.. now he wants his license.. when I was a kid .. i wanted them as soon as I turned 16..
Then they are off to California.. he has to do a few things for work..so Nick is going to go with..
Yeah, it was just the two of us. I planned to come home after work and change and grab my camera but I didn't get out in time.
She took some great pictures though and 'hot waiter' as he now calls himself posed for some great photos too.
Lea, were you at the dinner last Saturday?
What are they doing in California? Zach is chomping at the bit to get his license. He wants to go on his 16th birthday this July. He's buying a car from his father. It all makes me very nervous.
Yes, i was. I think we were sitting across from each other but I didn't put two and two together until I landed on your BLOG.
You have dark hair shoulder length and bangs?
HI Mr. Brian!
We were good last night! A lot of laughing and some serious conversations. The restaurant closed at 10am so we were home early. There was an awful storm last night though, the drive home was downright scarey.
Yup, that would be me...
Though I was sitting across from Suzanne and next to Cari (if that helps any). I can't seem to place you...I'm terrible at faces. Names and dates I'm much better at. :P
Rhonda,
I hate it when it's cold with no snow too. We got hit last night though so everything is white. But it's below zero out there, so we're staying in.
OH Rhonda,
Any GOOD neighbor descriptions or stories from the new house??? I loved your apartment neighbors. : )
Rhonda,
Next time I will introduce myself.
I am getting the eye so must shower. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. This is fun. See ya next Saturday and I am loving the bow exchange.
good morning!!! Hope you girls had fun last night : )
We are heading off to Barnes and Noble in a little while...Curious George will be there : )
We met our next door neighbour about a month ago when we had a foot of snow. We offered him our snow blower (he's a man in his 70s), but he turned us down. His English isn't great, but he said that shovelling the snow was "good for him"...oh well, we tried to be good neighbours. I didn't quite get his name though.
Two doors over there's compulsive smoker guy who walks his dog and doesn't talk to us. Other than that, the neighbours have been kind of quiet and kept to themselves.
Though on NYE, we had some smart ass kids (when did I ever start referring to "kids" as being in their 20s?) who were shooting off firecrackers in the middle of the street and sparks were landing on our roof. We were not impressed...
Have a great weekend Lea!
Good morning! Im here...Im awake, didnt work last night..Give me a minute to catch up here
I saw your blog, Lea, now I know who you are. I think you were sitting at the other end of the table...
thanx for the chat ladies!
Good Morning Laura!
Wow, Curious George...that's going to be a big hit.
Take care, Lea!

The bug sounds really cool.
Good Morning RMJ,
How was dinner last night?
In about two hours I will be heading to the mall with the boys. The still have some christmas gift cards that they have not used and I am going to treat myself and buy me some clothes.
We have a little get together of all of the Managers at work. We have reserved the MonteCristo Club at the Amway Arena here in Orlando and then we have VIP seating to see the Orlando Magics vs the Trail Blazers (Basketball). So it ought to be fun!
Amy,
I heard that the South was getting hit with some cold weather. It is below freezing up here. There has definitely been some weird weather this winter.
Hi there Noemi!
Sounds like you have a great weekend planned, shopping and the VIP treatment.
Boy you guys have been busy!!!!!
Got any plans for the weekend Rhonda?
Grocery stores are pretty much out of bread, milk, hamburger meat
Nope, just hanging out with the hubby. :)
Ohh I can't wait to see what Verna and you have planned for the children at Starfish. You can definetly count on me!
Yeah it's been good.
This is the second Sat in a row where people ran into each other on here and found out that they knew each other.
Hello everyone,
I've been a lurker for sometime, and wanted to stop by and say HI.
I just love this blog, and all the graphics you have. I'm so glad you posted how you come to find them all. They are really amazing.
We are in Ky and we have no snow yet, but are going to be having some very cold cold temps this weekend. We're talking deep freeze.
Amy,
Your stores are sold out and you guys don't even have any snow or ice yet??? I tell ya, it's nothing for us up here in the North.
Good Morning Leslie!
I'm glad that you joined in today.
Hang out and talk a while.
Leslie,
You are so right! RMJ has the best grafics out there! I just love her blog...
good morning just wanted to pop by and say hello, hope your dinner plans workled out and you had a good time. I was reading about the bow swap, I don't blame you that was one of my fav things to do during my wait, its so fun to get packages in the mail and it helps keep the dream alive.
acrystalgarden.com has some orginal bows and some cute ladybug ones. she has a daughter from China. Pretty reasonable compared to boutiques too.
its crazy. I tend to shop Sat mornings anyway but I did stock up just because I dont want to drive in the cold...I think I got enough for 5-6 meals!
I have been e-mailing Amanda at Starfish and there are some things that they need at the foster home that are only available in America. Special bottles, she likes the playtex nursers with bags and some clothing needs, so she's going to give me a list and we'll see if we can't get everyone to pitch in and we'll ship them to her in China. We're also working on some other ideas to help them out too.
Good Morning Connie!
We had a great time last night. We just ate some great food and talked about our situations. We are with the same agency and have similar LID dates. We promised each other we are in it for the long haul and we'll help each other get through it.
Amy,
So how cold is it supposed to get in Atlanta over the weekend?
Sounds like you had great fun!!!
What is everyone's LID dates?
Oh Connie,
I'll check out your friends bow site. The bow swap is at Nancy's blog ASENND.
9/13/2006 (sad that we have to include the year)
That will be awesome RMJ! Amanda is just AMAZING! Like I said count on me!
Well talk to you later. The boys just woke up. It's time for some breakfast.
Hope you have a nice day! And keep warm!
Good morning, everyone!
4/23/07
I am looking forward to seeing the plans to help Starfish, that is wonderful! You are making such a difference during your wait for your daughter, in the lives of many.
LESLIE,
I just went over to your blog, IT IS SO CUTE! Your girls are just beautiful.
My LID is 2/6/07. I'll trade with you RHONDA!?
Hi there Kelley!
How are you and Chloe today?
GOod morning Kelley!
OK...I've got the best LID. 1-10-08. How's that one? :) Leslie, I love your blog!! Your girls are just adorable!
Have a great weekend Noemi!
Hmm, let me think about that...
NO! :)
Good morning everyone!
RMJ, did you have a great time last night with Stef?
Gross weather to be out driving in, that's for sure!
Good morning girly.....did you dream about our hot waiter last night too? Oooo-la-la! ;)
Hi, RMJ! Chloe is her usual delightful self today, thanks, although she just ran by me and I detected a smell that tells me I have to get up and change her...so I'll be right back! (I'm still getting over being sick this week, but am better today.)
good morning ladies. using blog fairy today but this is verna ccccoold here. staying in with the fireplace turned on.
Good Morning all. Only 8:15am and over 85 comments. WOW!
Fill me in.
The boys and I are making breakfast. Bacon, Scrambled eggs and cinnamon rolls.
How was dinner last night RMJ?
oh Leslie I had to come back and say I love your blog too! I have that scrap kit, I love black and pink together. Your girls are beautiful. Love their names....
GOOD MORNING STEFFIE, KELLY, VERNA AND NANCY!
The chat room is hopping today.
Steffie,
Our waiter was especially 'hot' last night. I couldn't believe when he offered to be our personal 'butler'.
Hello everyone!!! Can you guys do me a favor? Can you guys visit hubbys blog in the next couple of days?
He has been short on comments and I would love to cheer him up..and he has a cool blog done by the blog fairy!
www.valtool.blogspot.com
www.rockingthe80s.blogspot.com (80s music blog)
thanks
NANCY,
Everyone is talking about you bow swap. I think you are going to have a lot of people signing up. It should be fun. Connie knows a Mom who makes them and has her blog listed in one of the comments.
What's going on over at Katie's Antics? I saw your cute post this morning! Did you guys get some snow last night?
ok I need to go check this swap out..sounds fun!
Miss Verna,
I'm getting the word out about Starfish.
There better be pictures of this "especially hot" waiter.
Did you girls close the joint with the weather being as bad as it was?
Hi Amy I went and left a comment, amazing how comments do make us feel good don't they?
I love his blog look Very original!
Verna did a great job.
I was hoping it would be a swap that people waiting, and those that already have their children can participate in.
I have seen soooooo many cute bows lately. I couldn't resist.
Thank you guys for saying you like my blog. I'm not in the long wait anymore. We were LID 10/18/06, but God had other plans for us, and showed us Lily on another agency list in Sept. The agency she was on, would not work with us, because we were on working with another agency. So we just prayed for her, and I knew she would find her forever family. Then on Nov 3rd @ 5pm our agency came out with a new SN list. My husband works second shift, and leaves the house at 4pm. So before he left for work we went into Lily's room and prayed over her crib, that if God had our Child on this List that he would show us, and that we would know who she was right away. So sitting on my computer waiting for the list to come up, and had a plan, to start with the youngest kids first and then move up from there. Well, God made me click on the 2 year old first at the top of the list, and there was Lily's sweet face staring at me.
Sorry I have posted such a long post, but it's so amazing what God has blessed us with, and how his hand was all over our adoption. Lily just wen through Open heart surgery 4 weeks ago, and she wasn't even a heart baby. Very rare what she had, and again, God's Blessings were again all over us, and keeping her safe. I know I would be heart broken if we were still in line with our LID date, but God will show you guys your baby just like he did me, and it's so worth any amount of wait.
Keep pushing on girls, and I'll keep you guys in my prayers. It's all going to be worth the wait. God's timing is so perfect.
Oh, Leslie, it sounds like things have been working out really well for you and your family. I agree that you really do have to wait and see where God leads you.
wow Leslie that is awesome!!!!!!!
Leslie,
That is a great comment. I do believe that we are where God wants us to be as far as our place in line in is concerned. We are committed to waiting as long as it takes.
I'M TRYING TO GET RHONDA TO SWAP LIDS WITH ME, NO LUCK. Our agency still hasn't address the issue of the longer wait times directly at all. I saw on other blogs that people are getting letters preparing them that it could go up to 5 years. That was a big shock.
Sorry guys, DH needed to check something and chose to use MY computer (there are three others in the house!).
Quiet here. One is at HS snow camp (burr!) and the others are getting ready to go and shovel about 8 inches of snow in our driveway (less in other areas, I'm sure, but we're surrounded by trees, so everything comes straight down and doesn't blow away).
Not sure what our plans are today.
Leslie, what FABULOUS NEWS!!! I can't wait to see your Lily!
REGARDING THE WAITER, there are new pictures of him. Stef is going to send me some and we'll get them posted. Nancy and Kelly know him.
Our agency is really good about emailing us updates. We just got one this week that said the CCAA is reviewing the November 06 families right now. The agency's next LID is 12-20-05, and whereas the current wait is 25 months, the anticipated wait may grow to 4 years. (That's according to what my agency said the CCAA said.)
blogging is fun and I love comments but sometimes I just blog to get things off my chest....
That's great. My girlfriend Angie from amothersplace.blogspot.com, has a 11/06 LID. She cracks me up with her waiting time. Her daughter will be named Ruthie. So she tells me that Ruthie's parents are still in middle school right now...LOL. She does get down, and has some really great posts about that if you have time to read them. She has such a way with words.
Leslie thats just awesome..
Im going to start bookmarking those of you I have not bookmarked yet!
Sorry Leslie, I'm months behind the news -- I didn't realize you already had Lily home with you!
Hey, has everyone followed Jenny's "waiting4Abby" journey to Abby? She's home now and the United desk had her lost luggage the whole time! They kept calling her home telephone number to tell her they'd found it -- she sat in China for TWO WEEKS with no clothes, but her answering machine at home was full of messages from the airline!
I guess we need to rethink what phone #s we put on our luggage, right?
Two weeks in China without any clothes.....I would die.
Leslie, LOVE the blog. Who did it? I always wished I could do headers like that.
Hi everyone. . Keith is doing bills and I'm blogging and Mya, I think is upstairs playing computer games. That kid figured out how to play games without me showing her. Hmmm . . computer head like mom.
I did follow that story..Miss Abby is too stinkin cute!
I do follow "Waiting for Abby" and I have to say that I have felt tremendous guilt for not warning Jenny about the luggage thing. We lost our checked bag (but only for a day or two). I knew from so many blogs to keep all of the stuff you really need in a carry-on... I offered other packing advice without even once thinking about lost luggage. Oh well, alls well that ends well, I guess.
Good Morning Blog fairy. I had Danielle, she has a link on my blog, do it. Not to crazy about it, and wish I could do it myself. I finally figured out how to change the background on the sides now. So I change that around some.
Did you do your blog? I love it and the backgrounds you chose.
Leslie you could make a header that size pretty easy with a scrapbook program. I think it looks great though! Iunderstand just wanting to be able to change. I am trying to come up with something new now headerwise I still like my colors for now.
Good morning, I have to tell you that last night I spent 2 1/2 hours reading your blog from the very beginning and girl, we gotta talk!!!! You would not believe how much we are alike, I am really serious, I think we were seperated at birth. You have a gorgeous family and that Zach he is too much. Our daughter Astrud just turned 15 , she is a really good person with christian values, she is fun, loving and all that stuff, now don't get me wrong, she gets on my nerves at times, but it is just too bad that arranged marriages are not the norm because Zach is just the person I would pick if I could!!! hehehehe But I would like to email back and forth , I would love to just talk with you , become your friend, we really have alot in common. Your blog is awesome!!!
I do not follow Waiting for Abby. How awful to have no luggage in a foreign country. She must have done ok though. Man, what a stresser.
Verna,
Your blog designs rock. I'm one of the few out here in blogland that haven't had anyone do my site for me (oh, but it shows!) and envy all of those who have it done by you. Your designs are beautiful and I'm jealous of all of your clients.
But, I'm one of those bloggers whose DH doesn't really understand what I'm doing and would freak if I spent money to design a BLOG. Isn't that funny? He loves reading my blog, but it's a utilitarian thing to him...not worth spending money on.
Ha, the joke will be on him when I have this thing printed out (all 400+ pages, I'm sure -- it'll cost $1000!
Good morning sunshine!
Hugs,
Jonni
Leslie
I went back and read about Lilly's surgery. I love that your church gave her a healing blanket, that was precious. I am so glad everything went so well and she came home so quickly. Amazing.
what a crowd today! BRB,,gotta see what Lucy the BH is up to!
Leslie - yep, i do all my own blogs and have for almost a year. go to steffie's blog ( beckeringtribe.blogspot.com) and check it out. i finally learned how to do stationary backgrounds. i'm so proud of me ;) If you have questions, just email me and i'll give you some hints and resources.
Ladies, I got pull ups for Noah yesterday. Silly but that was a big thing for me. I'm starting the packing process. I do realize that all important/can't live without items go in the carry on as well as a change of clothes and some stuff for Noah. We are sharing hints on our travel group Yahoo group.
Keith thinks that if you fill out a luggage claim, you would tell them how to get hold of you in China.
Hi there Kristy.
E-mail me anytime at timnkim@gmail.com
I will tell Zach that a mom thinks he would be a great catch. That will bring a smile to his face. I love getting to know the women out here. Really, I'd love to talk with you anytime.
Abby's mom, Jenny, wore the same two or three outfits the entire trip (she said she's going to burn them now that she's home). Abby was easier, as she could (and did) buy clothes for her there.
It was such an emotional journey for Jenny, she's single and Abby is her only child. But what a cutie she is (she's one day younger than my Ella). You should visit her blog and see pix of sweet Abby -- and read about her luggage horror stories.
Good Morning Jonni!
How is little Sofia this morning?? Love that little girl : )
Mommy24treasures. Your blog looks great. I call my family a melting pot family, because Ella is from Ukraine, and Lily from China. If God provides again, I don't know where we would go next?????
So were are your kids adopted from Jacobs eyes are so beautiful...he's going to be a heartbreaker for sure.
You know what else you could do in regards to luggage if they can't get ahold of you in China? Leave all of your adoption agency information with the airline. That way, if they called, someone would be there to handle the situation...Just an idea.
Verna that pic of Noah in the pink on your blog is the CUTEST thing!
loved the little changes you did on Steffie's, Verna noticed them yesterday. Loved Search and Destroy's new look too. The cherry blossom look was so elegant.
Verna, Noah is beautiful. How fun to buy Pull-Ups for him! Makes it real, doesn't it?
Hi everyone I have never been on this chat group before but after reading all of your comments, must say that God had his hand in this, all of you are just what I needed. It is so nice to find a bunch of christian women to talk with. Our lid is 4/21/06, talk about being so close but yet so far!!! About two weeks ago online alot of us women got scolded by a few for always mentioning God, can you believe that???? I was so disheartened so all ofyou are a blessing to me, I thank god for putting me at my computer this morning. Thank you.
Wow, was Jenny over there alone to get Abby? I am always so proud of the women who go alone. I would be afraid.
Hi Jonni....what's Sofia doing this morning? Lily is still sleeping, and Ella is watching Sponge Bob...YUKE.
Ryan is bio 15, Jacob and Chloe Guatemala 6 and Caitlyn China, I would LOOOVE to adopt once more if we can get financially stable enough that hubby feels comfortable. My heart longs for one more daughter. I don't care where she is from either Just believing God to lead me to her. I love having a melting pot family. LOVE it. Guatemala was wonderful to adopt from and I hope they get things straight and become a possibility again in the future... things are very unstable now. We adopted Jacob and Chloe together for the fees people are paying to adopt 1 child now.
Leslie, that is a true God story. Amazing. I had to read it to my hubs. WAY COOL!
Kelley,
I sounds as if we are working out of the same agency. Are you with AAI out of Michigan?
Lost luggage. With 3 boys myself, my husband and a new one would be enough to put me over the edge.
Verna,
My heart is just smiling for you. We use the pull-ups too for Eli at night and they work very well. Ours have the Cars movie guys on them. Put the side with the little pocket on it on the back. They are extra padded in the front.
I can't believe how you found his brother from the foster family.
Hi Leslie & RMJ,
Sofia is playing with Daddy and getting ready to go down for her nap. Mommy has laundry to put away and I hope to get the house cleaned up this weekend. Sofia and I have a playdate on Monday with 3 buddies and their moms. Then on Saturday we have a Chinese New Year's luncheon that should be fun. What are you guys doing this weekend?
Hugs,
Jonni
My name is Kristy and we are from Texas. Leslie what a beautiful story , I can't wait to go to your blog, to see pictures of Lily.
Hello Kimberley and everyone. This is my first time here. Just wanted to shout a big hello from Mississippi and tell you all we are jumping for joy here this morning because we have slushy ice outside. Can you tell we never get snow, much less ice!
Ok I am back...
nice to meet you Kristy I marked your blog to go back and check later. Glad you found us.
Jenny did have her parents with her, so she wasn't alone. But from the size difference between she and her mom, I doubt they were able to share clothes!
Jenny's sister, Laurie, stayed at home and blogged for her when blogger wouldn't work from China. It was fun to read Aunt Laurie's thoughts about what Jenny emailed her.
Seriously, go visit Jenny (well, she's out cold right now, having just returned from China and all) but she's a lovely person and Abby is such a delight.
I'm sure she won't mind me telling you her addy is waiting4abby.blogspot.com
She's a frequent commenter on Katie's blog.
Hi Nancy,
No--we are with CHI out of St. Louis. They're really close to home. You must be getting the same information, though.
I agree that I find the most encouragment here, especially from those who have been there done that! Thanks for posting over at www.valtool.blospot.com
Hubby has been so down lately and comments are just an easy way of cheering him up!
Good morning, Adele!
I rarely comment on your blog, because I have it on "bloglines" so that I can check it from school during my lunchtime. But I have to tell you that Mallory is just gorgeous, and I love her pretty outfits and hairbows!! Your blog is just terrific. Enjoy your Mississippi slush today! :)
Hi Amy,
Hope hubby feels better soon.
Hugs,
Jonni
Hi Mommy24 I marked yours too, I am looking forward to getting to know you also, it looks like most of my day will be blogging, it is even icy down here in Texas!!!
good morning Adele hoep the movie was fun last night!
The foster brother thing was/is really neat. I think they would like to get the boys together but we can't really think about it right now since Noah isn't even home. We are accruing lots of new vacation spots now with all our bloggy connections all over the US and now Canada (lea and S&D). Amazing people! I wonder which state has the most?? Probably MI.
Thank you Kristi for saying that. Come and visit all you like.
FYI....lol I love comments.
Kristy,
Well, you can talk about God whenever you want with us. Not all of my girlfriends who come are Christian women, but the majority are. And the women who aren't are not made uncomfortable hearing about God, at least not that I have heard about. No one pressures anyone here.
Thanks Kelley. You are so sweet. Yeah, we do believe in big hair bows here in the south. HAHA.
Welcome Adele!
I heard that the South is getting some very unusual weather. Amy said Atlanta is bracing for some bad weather.
I went to school in 6th grade in Biloxi Mississippi.
Adele, you were one of the first blogs I found and I think our LIDs are similar? I have loved your mommy stories and have found so much encouragement and hope through your blog
The movie was so cute!! For those here that don't know, I went to see "27 Dresses" last night and it was really good. Totally a chick flick, which I love.

Kimberley,
That (above) is a great big ole "hello!" from the Bug!
Hi Adele, I marked your blog also, can't wait to see!!!
I have to tell you about the red thread. Thursday night I was working and was told of a family with a CHinese son whom I had to meet. Well I went to say hello and they are a fabulous family. Most of you know about our First Fridays support group here in Atlanta.. Well, FF started at Dan and Susans house. This family ( Sam is the little boys name) are close friends with Dan and Susans neighbors and one Friday they wanted to know why there were so many cars there and Voila they learned about FF!!!!
Adele no I didn't what is your blog address?
AMY,
I just left the hubs a message.
Kimberley, I live about an hour from Biloxi. You should see Biloxi now. It is just so sad how Katrina wiped everything out. So depressing.
Amy, you are so sweet. My LID is 4/24/07. You always are so good to comment. I am trying to be better about commenting. :)
Amy,
We are in NY.
Jonni
We're in Missouri. There's lots to see/do around here. Grant's Farm, St. Louis zoo, St. Louis arch, wonderful wine country...great vacation spot! :)
thanks for your well wishes for hubby. hes been down. He just needs to find a better job that he enjoys more and makes more money
FOR THIS OF YOU WHO RECENTLY CAME INTO THE CHAT GROUP:
Verna and I are working on a supply raiser for the Starfish Foster Home in China. It's going to roll out at the beginning of February, so keep a look out for it.
RMJ,
Sounds like a great idea!
Hugs,
Jonni
My blog address is www.doublehappinessinrichton.blogspot.com
(sniff!) (sniff!) All this talk about commenting...I hardly ever get any comments. I sometimes worry that my little blog isn't very entertaining, but then I remember that I'm doing it as a journal anyway, so it's OK that I'm unpopular...also it keeps me from being too worried about weirdos, but I still worry about them anyway. Is it too early for me to get some cheese to go with my whine? :)
Hi Amy, what is your blog address, which one is it?
A SPECIAL NOTE TO KATIE!
Thank you for saying hi to me.
Big hugs from Miss Kimberley at church.
I will see you tomorrow. : )
It always amazes me that people who don't participate in religion are so intolerant of it in others. Why is that?
Adele,
It really is so good to see you here. You are one of my favorite blogs to read because there is so much that I am looking forward to as a mom..
Anyone else from the Memphis area? We are hoping to do a long weekend in a couple of months!
Heading out to the gym. There is a whole post waiting to be written on that one.
Will check back in an hour or so.
Kelley I thjink your blog is super cute and comy by alot I just sometimes don't comment, I will try to comment more. Chloe is absolutely precious and very entertaining!

Last night I was wondering all about that Chinese Starfish program, so I will keep my eyes open. You will have to let me know all about this bow swap also.
Kelley I am there with you, I look at other peoples blogs that have thousands of visitors and I have a pity party also, it does not seem like I have that many visitors also, always the same people which I truly appreciate but it would be so cool to have people from other countries take a peek!
Nancy,
Good for you, going to the gym! The chat group is open until noon, so come back if you can!
Kelley,
You are too funny. I don't just get tons of comments but I certainly appreciate the ones I get. I admit I do love getting them. However, I would still blog even if I didn't get any comments because I love blogging. Also, I need to document things because my memory is not as sharp as it used to be. :)
Thank you Amy.
Kimberley,
I can't wait to see pics from your night out last night. I know you two had a blast.
Darn, sorry for the typos in the last post...typing to fast! :)
there are some new people here and I cant wait to read all of your blogs!
Hello there!
You know I'm always late to this morning chat...by the time I get up and functioning and read thru ALL of the comments - anyway, looks like you had a fun morning.
Kimberley, glad you and Stef had fun with your hot waiter last nite - I'll look forward to seeing Stef's pics. (and I'm more than a little jealous...so close, yet so far away.)
I'm going to a Ladies' Brunch with my mom, aunt, and sister this afternoon. We have family here from out of town so we'll be BUSY.
Enjoy your weekend, girls!
XOXO
I am going to add all of yall's blog addresses to my blog roll so I can check you all out today. Can't wait!
Kelley,
I love your blog! Your little girl is so cute. And I love the design, it is wonderful.
Hi Kelley,
I just headed over to to your blog. It is really great and what a beautiful family you have. We are also in the process of adopting a sister for Sofia whom we adopted from the Gansu Province (Northwest China). Our family day was August 27, 2007. I look forward to following your blog.
Hugs,
Jonni
Adele,
That's exactly how I feel about it. :) In fact, I am waiting for my "book" to come today. I used Blurb (blurb.com) to put the first six months of my blog into a book...I also did one of all of the digital pictures I have from 2007. I am super-excited about it and can't wait to see what it looks like. If they look good, then I'll do a blog book and a family album book every year. I just don't have time for scrapbooking anymore, now that I'm glued to my baby, my camera, and my computer. :)
Kristy & Kelley,
I'm with you on the comment pity-party. It's a long story, but I took my blog "invite only" about 6-7 months ago and it's a little lonely now.
However, I have to remember I'm doing this for Katie, her big brothers and her soon-to-be-little sister, so it doesn't matter that we don't have a lot of traffic.
I've bookmarked both of your blogs and will do my best to leave comments when I visit!~
it just started snowing in Atlanta
Nikki,
Glad to see you here. Have fun with your company and ladies brunch. It was so much fun to chat this morning, but baby will be crying soon, so i better hop in the shower. Have a great weekend everyone.
Hugs,
Jonni
NIKKI, have a great weekend. I can't believe I haven't met you yet. We really have to change that. I would love to get a Michigan group together and meet someone central.
You all are so sweet! I'm sitting here just laughing at all of the outpouring of support! I truly TRULY wish that we could all meet somewhere sometime. Maybe one day...
