Eli's Preschool Outing

I took last Friday off and went with Eli on his first preschool outing. The class went to one of his teachers homes. She has a horse and a rabbit and a pond with tadpoles.
We had a lot of fun. We went on a nature walk around the pond and collecting things that we thought were special (Eli picked dandelions). We had a scavenger hunt and a cook out.
The pictures above are during circle time when the teacher read about tadpoles and how they turn into frogs.

Eli absolutely loves preschool, but I'm afraid he is one of the little boys known for mischief. He has a lot of energy and doesn't like to sit still. I'm hoping that he will mellow out over the summer and do a better job of paying attention when he should next year.

It was wonderful to see him with so many little friends who are his age. He has learned so much just in the past three months he's been in preschool. He has started to color and draw all of the time. He's doing better with recognizing his letters and numbers. Tomorrow is his snack day and the theme is the beach. So we are bringing ice cream sandwiches!

Look how interested Eli is in everything!!! He is such a smart boy... Boys are different then girls as they seem to have more energy and interest in things.
Happy you could share this day with him.
Can't wait for journey to China to start... Linda

You're singing my song -- I had one of "those" kids also! A naughty boy, indeed! Don't worry, he's turned out just fine and his mischeviousness ended with pre-school.

Glad you had a good time with your precious Eli...

What a special day for you to be able to share with Eli.

Don't worry. Boys, in general, have a more difficult time settling into a classroom routine in the early years. I would consider it a very healthy sign. :)
