I had to pick up Toby and his friend at school at the ridiculous hour of 7:00 am.

The boys are doing really well. I think it's kind of hard for them to believe after all of this time too.

Toby was at school for a "lock in" for the band. They went bowling, swimming and ice skating, in addition to playing their band instruments and playing games in the gym. It was his first "all nighter" and he's sleeping soundly now!
That sounds like a lot of fun, I'll bet he'll sleep until afternoon.

Kimberley, do you do any type of digital scrapbooking? I want to really learn how to do it, and got Adobe Photoshop for Christmas, but just can't figure it out. Any suggestions?

I truly am just in shock. I keep looking at her. I know she's my girl...but truly she is so lovely. She has the largest eyes.
I am trying to get my carepackage together and figure out what to send her. I am going to buy a little photo book, her info says she likes dolls, so I'll probably send a doll.
I made it on Scrapblog.com. It was pretty easy, but I have this PSE .6 that so many people rave about and I just don't understand it.

I want to learn more too. I want to be able to make my own shower graphics and things so I don't have to always ask everyone for help.
I'm going to post about it today after the shower, or tomorrow morning, so that's ok. I'm ok if people know since we have everything confirmed.
I know how your heart is hurting and elated at the same time. There's no way around that. All you can do at this point is PRAY and PRAY and PRAY some more. Make a list of specific things you need to pray for and ask people to pray for her.
You should get some books on attachment, especially toddler attachment. I've got some great titles to share with you.
Oh, you need to start a journal of all of your thoughts and feelings about what you're going through right now. It is such a therapeutic thing to do. Plus, you'll go back and read it a year from now and it will be eye-opening to you what you were going through at the time. You think you'll remember every little thing, but you'll forget.
Yes, all this time I have been preparing for a baby, and Sophia is definitely a toddler.
I know that there is a fabulous toddler attachment book, but I can't remember what it's called.
I probably should. I have to go through all of my clothes, so many won't fit her.

I'll put together a list for you of books that have come highly recommended to me. Also, do you still have the Adoption Parenting: Creating a Toolbox book of mine? Read that, and there are a LOT of great book recommendations and website recommendations in it.

Hello Hello!!! CCAA does not want us contacting the people directly. In other words, its perfectly fine to send packages to the addresses our agency gave us but Lynnmarie is in a foster home that is sponsored by the agency. If they find out I sent something to the foster home, they will know i have direct contact....Oh well. she is in a fabulous place.

Sophia was in a foster home, but they took her back to the orphanage to prepare her for adoption. My poor girl. Our agency told us we could send a package, so I am waiting for an address.

It was to Brownsburg, IN for a Challenger Spaceship fieldtrip. They got to go to the moon to pick up a lost probe. Brownsburg is 3 hours from here, and an hour ahead of us. They got back around 6:30pm last night.
We have baby powder snow here, but nothing big yet. I hear this is going to be a bad weekend though.

Oops, sorry, Lydia was adopted from Guangdong (where Katie is from) about 3 years ago. She has leukemia. Her adoptive family found Lydia's birth family, hoping to find a bone marrow match, but the leukemia is too far along. They're just waiting now. It's heartbreaking.

I know what you mean about being in a state of shock, I was the same way for quite a while after Will's referral and we've had him now 7 months and still sometimes can't believe he's ours. Can't wait to see her beautiful face.
I just read back on the comments and saw her age. We will definitely have to talk before you travel and I can give you some hints and will support you in anyway I can. Toddlers are GREAT fun. V

Maybe I will. It's so funny, I couldn't believe it when I saw the photo. Tim is working on cropping her feet out for me.
I don't mean to brag (okay...yes I do!), but I've seen her and she's GORGEOUS!!!! And the shoes are just the icing on the cake, a sign from God above that THIS beautiful child is mean to be with HER BEAUTIFUL MAMA.

Heh. We took the boys to the shoe outlet for new shoes. Katie and Ella were in HEAVEN clomping around in way too big ladies shoes, carrying purses over each of their arms. They were very cute and put each pair of shoes they tried on back in the original boxes when they were done.

That is so cute. Eli said he wanted Sophia to be big like him and I told him she was going to be the same size as Katie and he said that was ok.

I don't think the work at the church will ever end. It may just be less often.... maybe.
We did weekly cleaning in order to get it occupied. Then we did weekly planting to save paying the landscapers. We are finishing that project up finally!!!!
I'll still clean once a month in addition to greeting once a month, shuttling once a week, and doing the money count every other week.
It's our annual adult mission trip to the Tegucigalpa dump. We'll be building a kind of out door covered community picnic shelter thing I guess. A place for the children's families to gather outside the school. Haven't heard what other projects there may be.
