Hockey Time~

We've been spending a lot of time in the hockey rink this year. Zach is having a good season and enjoying himself. He says he's not going to play his senior year though and that has me a little sad. I have watched him play since he was 4 years old.

I must say that I won't miss the freezing cold, but I will miss watching him play. It seems sad to me that he is playing his best and now will be quitting after this season is over.

Kimberley,

It is sad when our kid stop activities. I don't know, it always seemed like a loss for me.

Nick(our oldest) played hockey for many years too. I agree that it's sad when they stop. It's kind of an end of an era.

Have a great weekend!

Maybe he'll change his mind and play next year. I can't tell you how many times my boys have said the same thing, that this is their last season...and then they sign up again for the next!

BUT, if he does stop, what will you do with all of your free time? : )

Hayden wants to play this...there are ZERO places here in MD for him to play....LOL....we gave him street hockey for Christmas...I think it's been too cold for him to play it....maybe I'll pour water on the driveway and then he can play ice hockey!! LOL!!

Kimberley I know exactly how you feel, Astrud cheered competitively and was a power tumbler starting at age 5, and one day at the top of her game 3 years ago she just walked away, it killed me and then 6 months ago she walked away from Volleyball. She is an extraordinary volleyball player, she played club year round and one day she decided she wanted to concentrate more on her studies, because she wants to be a Psychologist, so as a mother how do you say anything to that????? I come from a very athletic, sports oriented family and I miss watching her so bad but what do you do, they are starting to make decisions for themselves and we have to let them do that even if it kills us. So my sweet K I feel your pain, but I also know that God has huge plans for our kids and I look forward to watching it reveal itsel to us. Have a great sunday.

Love you, Kristy
