Too Much Testosterone!...Hunting Season 2008

Oh yes, it's hunting season here in Michigan. My FIL has been here for four days hitting the woods with DH. We love it when he comes to visit and this trip has given him and Tim a lot of one on one father/son time together.

Tyler went out with them yesterday. So far, they have brought home 4 deer.
Tyler got his first deer yesterday which was very exciting for him.

He killed Bambi's parents?! Had to throw that in and give you a hard time, from the token vegetarian here!

Growing up, my dad was an avid hunter. We always had dead dear in our freezer too. And, my mom was (is) a vegetarian. But, I guess opposites can attract! (She just made him do his own meat cooking in his own pans! lol)

FOUR deer? Holy cow (er, I mean "deer") that's a LOT of venison!

So glad that all of your guys enjoy spending time together in the cold -- and thanks for helping control the out-of-control deer herd population in Michigan. Those are four fewer deer that will be involved in car/deer accidents around here!

I heard once that in Michigan, more people are killed in car/deer crashes than any other type of accident...and I think our county leads the number of fatalities. Good job Tim, Tyler & Grandpa -- go get some more!

AWESOME job Tyler! That deer will taste really good with your coffee!

Way to go Tyler!! Mine didn't get lucky last weekend, but they're going back this weekend. I haven't posted pics because he left the camera at the camp. I'm with you on the testosterone!!

My girlfriend since 5th grade lives in Grosse Pointe Park and she was just telling me about her husband going off hunting for the week. We were laughing, because he hasn't brought home anything in 10 years. It looks like your family is a little more talented! (or actually go hunting) ;)
