Oh yes, imagine my delight when I was driving Zach to his Jungle Driving School class this afternoon and I got a call on my cell phone from Tyler's school. Eli wasn't feeling well last night and I thought that Tyler must be getting sick too. But no, I had to go meet with the principal and take him home.
No matter how old you are, it's never comfortable sitting accross from the principal in a conference room.
When I arrived Tyler was all misty eyed and red in the face. He got in trouble for saying 'freekin' and was sent to the principal's office. Then he gave the principal some lip and I was called. The principal is a very nice man and he was very pleasant in the meeting. I was very disappointed. Tyler isn't allowed to say 'freekin' at home or to be disrespectful. And here I am called into the school over it.
So, I'm making him spend the evening in his room. Momma's not happy.

hugs!! from your stuffy headed friend!!
oh, I promise you'll laugh about it someday... summer is almost here, hang in there!
Been there, done that , plenty of times... it is funny how they act when we aren't around..
Hugs girly..
I still say.. girls are easier then boys..
But time will tell.. KyLee is only 14...
HUGS..
oow...doesn't sound like a fun day :)
Are you freekin' kidding me????
I am guilty of saying that too...guess I'd better clean up my act too...otherwise sweet Lily is in big trouble!
Hugs to you!
You got called to the office for that?! Really? Mmmkay...
I'm with Rhonda...I'm really surprised you got called to take him home for that. (It is pretty funny, though.) And as one of four girls, I think I disagree with Kim...girls are tougher than boys. Boys are less complicated. :)
Wow...a bit extreme, I agree. LOL...about the principal's office. Bless both ya'll!
Oh my gosh...I cannot believe you got called in for that...I have taken weapons away from students & the parents don't show up for court...I need to move to your town... ;)
Hang in there...this too shall pass!
How can mama not be happy looking at that cute face? I bet he can get away with alot with a smile.
Not that sweet looking boy!! :) teehee BTDT I had to pick up MY SWEET SON about 3 months ago. What I want to know is....what good does it do to bring them home and then WE are the ones that have to spend hours helping them make up the school work they missed. Not to mention the hassle of stopping what we are doing to pick them up. I had to wake Lauren from her nap...argh. In my opinion its a treat for a kid to leave school....I was the one that felt punished. Not sure what happens to our SWEET boys when they get to school but their evil twin emerges. Oh the joys of motherhood! ...and just what you needed today...huh? Hopefully this will be a fun tale to tell when Tyler has to pick his SWEET son up from school. :)
Ah man! That stinks. Way to go though. There are a lot of parents who let their kids get away with "that".
I am sorry :(
Oh No!!! In trouble for a word that is not even that bad. Poor kid, and poor Mom. I know you have to be strong and he needs to learn, but remember when your Mom said it hurts me more then you, right before the spanking... That is really the truth.. it's tough to be Mom.. He'll be good till the next time, I promise.. Linda
On the bright side, he isn't sick!?!?!
I hope your week gets better ;-)
Oh dear.....I can so see your face right now....I'm kind of laughing...even though I know it's not funny....how about lunch again next week????
Oh Hayden has done this to me. and I feel like I failed as a mother and they all stare at you like "What is going on in that home!" Well truth is no matter how well we train them, their little buddies at school are going to train them better..........
Sorry you had to go thru that.....
poor momma, poor Tyler!
Lea
Well, we all know what it's like when Momma aint happy....LOL
I had to laugh a little too~ imagining you in the principal's office~ I'm afraid I'm in for alot worse with my little spitfire headed to school this fall!! :0
Oops! So hard to do the right thing at school, even when you know better.
Ohhh. Poor guy, and I know how mom must feel!! (I must admit, i say freekin.)But I would have been scared to death to be disrespectful. Tell him he is too good looking to be anything other than a gentleman.
I know you are upset but just look into the future....some day it will be funny.
Shucks at least he kept it freekin' he could have said worse.
One good thing about working in the nursing home, my factory potty mouth has cleaned up.
Maybe it comes with getting oledr and wiser too.
Now go give him a hug and tell him to freekin' love him.LOLOLOLO
Sorry I just had to be naughty.I am sooo very very bad.
Ah... boys will be boys!!
How could that sweet face you posted on the blog ever be in trouble.
I dont think I would be a big fan of visiting the principal either. Sorry it was not a fun day.
Poor Tyler. Don't be too hard on him...I think having you come down to the school was a big punishment for him.
I KNOW Tyler's principal and that man makes me a little bit nuts!
Go easy on the kid, that guy is flaky!
uh oh :) I'm guilty myself. Love the pic with this post.
Good for you for putting your foot down. I believe in discipline.
Okay, at least he's feeling well;)
What, no consolation? Okay, then my words to live by - "this too shall pass."
He didn't hurt or harm another and his lesson is probably very well learned, just really thankful he is safe and it wasn't something more sinister:)
Hang in there - hugs coming at 'cha!
Heather
