Good Morning Everyone! I tell you , I have been battling with insomnia this week. I usually sleep like a rock, but lately I've been waking up in the middle of the night and then spend hours tossing and turning before I get back to sleep again. I'm not liking it.
Some important announcements:
Crystal who is in Malawi Africa to bring home Savannah Hope needs your prayers and support. There are some issues with her paperwork and she cannot come back to the US until they are resolved. I have heard that it could take up to a month for resolution, so please pray for a miracle here so that she return quickly to her children and husband with Savannah. Crystal's blog is 'Johnson Angels'.
Robin at 'Red Thread Stitches' is almost to the point of giving away another handmade quilt, so if you want to donate $1 to get your name into the drawing, you should get over to her blog quickly!
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for my Grandmother. Yesterday they put some type of a camera through her nose and into her lung. They were able to see the mass and remove a part of it to be analyzed. Please pray that there is no cancer.
Lastly, Tim and I are going to try to get at least 3 of the remaining Starfish boxes shipped out today. I don't think we have enough funds to send out the 4th box. I know that you all have given so much, but if anyone hasn't donated yet and would like to help, please make a donation to the Chip In postage fund.

I should say that he is 47 so he's paid his dues............I'm still jealous however...hee hee
Hi there Carol! You are the first one on today. I hope that you have a good moving day today. How's the weather?
Good Morning Carol and Kimberley.. I will be praying for your Grandmother..
Is it snowing there??
Seems like everyone is getting cold weather but us..
Good Morning Kim!
It isn't snowing today. The sky is clear and beautiful. Actually most of the snow has melted away.
Good morning ladies!
Wanted to pop in and say hello before I headed out today.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
Kimberley, I will keep your grandma in my prayers.
Oh Carol, I want a dream home in the country too. I live in the middle of the city and would love the peace. Although I do love the city too.
Lea
Thank you Lea!
Good Morning and have a great day!
Good morning Kimberley, Carol & Kim!
And a great big "howdy" to Lea, as well.
No snow falling here -- yet. This is Michigan, we'll probably see some today. I guess they're getting a lot of snow in the state of Washington.
Good morning friends! Let me ask Micheal and see if we can do anything to help with shipping
Good Morning Kelly and Amy!!
ive missed you guys!
We've missed you too! Have you been working a lot Amy?
Good morning Amy (& Michael).
I grew up on a farm. We had horses. It was a LOT of work!
Part of me misses it, the more logical part of me doesn't.
Still, there is something so beautiful about a well-maintained farm...
So, Carol, I'm a little bit jealous of your brother, too.
good morning ladies! I have been missing in action for the last few weeks. It is nice to have a little time to stop by! Kim, I have a check ready to go in the mail to help a little with postage. I just need your address again. Would you also send me the blue chat link....I did a littl makeover and lost my other link.
Well sorry I can't chat this morning..
But I am off to work.. have to hurry.. have to go by Starbucks..
LOL.
Have a Great Weekend.
I will be here next Sat.. I am OFF..
BYE LADIES
There are many farms out here and a horse stable. We live in the country somewhat and I just love watching farm life. I never get impatient driving behind a tractor or a horse trailer.
MIichaels working today. Im going to chat and do dishes and laundry. I have been working and such!!!
Good Morning Margaret, how are you?
I will get the blue link right over to you.
What is your e-mail?
Have a great day at work Kim!!
So Whats everyone having for dinner tonight?
Just wondering
margaretmiracle@bellsouth.net THanks Kim
Heh. Amy, you must be pretty organized to already be planning your dinner menu. I don't think about that until about 4:00...
My plan doesn't work too well, however, maybe I should begin thinking about dinner plans early in the day!
I just sent it to you Margaret!
I ask because I started WW last week and I really need to start planning so I am looking for all kinds of ideas
Man, I have no idea what we're going to have for dinner. Probably something on the grill if the snow stays away and it's as warm as it was yesterday.
Good for you Amy! I started a diet and lost about 15 pounds, then I fell of the the wagon and haven't gained back anything, but I'm not losing either.
I have to go to Chicago for 3 days this week for some training.
Margaret, I'm so sorry you've had to wait so long for your LOA. I read about it first on the RQ forum (yeah, I hang out there, too -- constantly looking at those charts for LOA/TA/Travel).
It sounds like you should have it soon. Then it's about a month to travel -- right?
Amy, we usually eat out one night a week and today is it....It will probably be Mexican...........
Kelly,
What is the story with your blog?
thanks Kim, got it! Yes, I am in the no clue what is for dinner group. The temperature dropped here again so we won't be grilling tonight but that does sound good
So Kimberley, what's happening with Bethany's WC program? Are they still getting big lists every 3 months or so?
Our agency used to get big lists -- 20 - 30 kids, but now they're getting much smaller batches, 3 & 4 at a time, but it seems like some arrive just about every week.
It's clear and cold here in MD...yesterday it was HOT!! What a switch..anyway, it looks like rain...
We eat out way too much. Maybe we should do that too Carol and just choose one night a week.
I wish I could say it helps me with my weight..but I eat more at home I think...picking all day.....
So far so good, 10.2 pounds the first 2 weeks and hope to do another 2 pounds this week
The story of my new blog isn't very interesting.
I deleted the boys' blog a few weeks ago, and decided that my blog shouldn't focus on just one of my kids (Katie's Antics) pretty much said it all.
Anyway, now that we're closer to adding a fifth child, I thought the time was right to start a blog that would be more inclusive of all of the kids. Of course, it will still focus on Katie, and it will definitely include the two little girls when we finally get home from China.
See, not a big deal at all!
Good morning girls!
Kimberley, I would like to send a check to help get your 4th box out...but I also will need your address again, sorry.
Can you email it to me at doc2109@wowway.com Thanks!?
Great Job Amy!! WW works I lost about 40 pounds with them....then I stopped doing it and gained back all of it :(
My doctor told me that they are one of the best programs to follow!!
good morning nikki!!!!
so did my doctor and hopefully this time will be the last time I start this weight loss program
We are not through the review room yet, so I haven't been able to see the SN lists when they first come out. I was able to see the children who hadn't been picked from the last list.
I know that November has gone through because Nancy at ASENND was told she was through and she has a November LID.
I am thinking that we should be through about June. I am very excited.
All of you inspire me with success stories from WW. I know a lot of people who have used it and now look and feel great.
I am not one of those "joiner" types of people and cannot imagine doing the weekly meeting thing. I know WW does an online program, maybe I should check that out.
Congratulations, Amy & Kimberley, on your successes so far. Keep up the good work!
Kelly,
It has really been a long few weeks because each time LOAs come out...I just knew ours would be there. so many people who got referrals at the same time and after us have gotten theirs. So to have ours get :stuck" for lack of better terminolgy is so frustrating. Graeme is waiting!
Has the review room picked up at all?
Hi Amy!
Congrats on WW - my cousin LIVES the weight watchers plan and is a size 1! It takes a lot of discipline, but I agree that it is really effective.
(I think they have a lot of dinner ideas online.)
Margaret.
I still would love to talk to you on the phone some day,
Mr Graeme! Is it pronounced like Grame or Graham? Its the coolest spelling..Hes awesome
Good Morning Nikki!!
Thank you so much. I will send you my address. But is there any way that you can use the paypal? If you can, we can ship things out this weekend.
Oh Margaret,
How frustrating. It seems like there are quite a few families who have been waiting for a while to get their TA's.
Kelly,
The new blog is just darling. I really like it. Did you design it?
I have a question...not meaning to offend anyone...hope I do not....
Is anyone in line for China, thinking of number 2 from China?
In other words, will you go back after this wait?
The wait for LOA is SO uncertain. The other things in the WC program are relatively certain, but the wait for LOA stretches from 50 - 140 days!
It's crazy how that happens, and it makes any type of preliminary planning worthless!
We're at day 40 in our wait.
Love that you got updates on Graeme, though. Pictures would have been nice!
Kimberley,
Thanks for the compliment -- I had nothing to do with how my blog looks!
I am worthless at anything computer related. It's a free template from a place called pYzam. It's cute, but there is not a lot of stuff you can do with it. But, I felt like the background was just enough to add interest, and I've always been more about journaling and adding pictures, so it works for me.
Amy, it is the Old English vesion of Graham. He is named after one of DH good friends.
We are apparently stuck in the review room. Reviewed and passed but waiting on a signature from an unpredictable director.
I would go back to China! DD is so wonderful and I think Graeme will be too....if I can just get him home. But, alas we are getting too old. I still think there is one more child out there for us somewhere though
Well I've been pushing hubby but he keeps saying he is too old....
It's making me BATTY!!!
Carol,
We knew before we started our 1st adoption that we'd go back to China for a sister.
However, we also decided while we were still in China with our daughter, that we'd apply for a waiting child the 2nd time around.
I felt that the needs are so minor that if we were in a position to deal with it, we should. There are so many families waiting for their first "healthy" baby, it didn't seem like we needed to wait for a NSN AYAP child.
And so we have another daughter in China who waits for us. We couldn't be happier.
Good morning chatters! Just dropped by to say hi. How's everyone doing?
Kelly,
I left a comment on Katie's Antics as I would love to visit the new blog!!
Amy,
A phone chat sounds really nice...we just need to coordinate schedules:)
I should have said (in my last post) that SOME of the needs are minor. Some are definitely not minor.
Fortunately, there are so many informed, encouraging and supportive groups out there to help us make our decision on what needs we were able to consider.
OK Kimberley, I just used Paypal to make my donation...hope it helps! (by the way, I LOVE your Spring header. So cute!)
Kelly, I will pray that you get the news you're waiting for SOON!
I just read Crystal's blog too. I didn't realize it was more than just the birth certificate that might be slowing things down for them. Ugh.
the unpredictability is what is so frustrating. We are on day 103! Maybe we will get them together Kelly! That would be FUN
Carol,
I don't know, if we did it would be several years from now. Sophia will our 5th child. One of our children lives with her mother full time, but we still support her financially. She and our oldest son will be heading off to college shortly, so I don't know if we'd be able to do it financially. I also would need to make sure that I was able to give everyone the attention that they need and deserve. Five children may just be about all that I can mother. Even the older ones still need me.
Good morning Verna!
What are you up to today??
Where my husband works a lot of people are retired and this is their 2nd job, after being retired from the military..well they look at us with our 2 yr old and think we are crazy, their children are grown and they travel, travel, travel.........but I love it!! I think if my husband had a different job we wouldn't be dealing with this!!!!
I tell you, I just found out about Crystal's situation yesterday and I am worried for her.
She is near Savannah's family and they seem to be wonderful people, but the living conditions aren't the most sanitary.
She said there are rats in the ceiling of the house she is staying in.
I know that she is in God's hands though and there must be some reason He wants her there. Maybe there is something more for her to see.
as frustrating as these few weeks have been, reading Crystal's blog has made me so happy that we are in the China program. Savannah-Hope is so Beautiful. I just can't imagine what Crystal is going through...China was a bit of a culture shock for us but compared to Malawi...well there is no comparison! She has been in my thoughts and prayers
Good Morning Verna! How is little Noah???
We're just hanging around. Keith is entertaining the kids. Erin is at a band trip. We have a wedding later today. It's NOT snowing and that basically covers it. ;)
Carol,
I think the review room is moving along fine. At least it seems to be staying on schedule from what I can pick up here and there. November was done last month and that's on schedule. I certainly hope it keeps chugging along because we need to get through it.
Thank you Nikki!
I went to a surprise 50th birthday party last night and the guest of honor was joking about how she and her friends (like me) will soon be sending kids off to college...when somebody piped up "Kelly's expecting a baby this year!"
Wow. I sure am. A new baby (well, toddler, a slightly older toddler, one in middle school, two in high school...sounds a little bit crazy, doesn't it!
I wouldn't have it any other way.
And you're absolutely right, Kimberley, the older ones need us just as much as the little ones do!
yes how is that sweet NOah?
Verna,
I have so enjoyed your blog and am living vicariously through you as we wait to bring home Graeme.
Noah was my husbands pick for our sons name. I love the name too but not with our last name
Noah Miracle (I know a miracle) see what I mean. Graeme is definitely a Graeme though
Well everyone it's time for me to get going......my brother is waiting.
Have a great weekend!!!
Emily hates doughnuts....what kid hates doughnuts? Well I guess that is a good thing right? But she is wiping doughnut on my pants...so I must go...
Verna,
Everyone keeps telling me that boys are so different from girls...give me your insight
also updating blog fairy blog with pictures of headers I've done. hoping to get that going again.
I will tell you that I LOVE motherhood. I do not envy the people who travel, I do not envy their freedom. I love sitting at my dinner table and looking across at the faces of my children. I would never trade anything and if I didn't work and could afford it, I would adopt again. I don't know for sure which country I would go to, but I would continue to adopt.
Good morning ladies, just wanted to say hi.
I do not think I could take chatting with so many beautyful, women at one time.
Hope you all have a great weekend and week ahead.
Thanks for letting me stop bye.
I'll let you have your women talks now. :)
ui k cccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccci6i6ikk
(Hi! from Katie)
Margaret!
Look at your super cool blog. Wow, that looks really cool.
Graeme is so handsome.
I have 3 sons and I will tell you that we have the sweetest relationships. I have never had a daughter of my own. I have a step-daughter, but she came to me when she was 10 and lives with her Mom. I look forward to Sophia.
But I will tell you that you will share the sweetest love with your son.
You're welcome, Kimberley, and thank YOU for allowing me to be a part of something so special!
I have also been praying for Crystal - I CANNOT IMAGINE being there. She is a very strong woman and her faith is inspiring many, I'm quite sure.
Margaret, I just visited your lovely blog. You have such a beautiful family and I'm praying that you are on your way to get your son very soon.
Well, Lily wants the computer now, and I need to SHARE!
Have a great weekend ladies!
XO
Mr. Brian you are welcome here.....but I must be going....
Good Morning Mr. Brian!
I am certain that you are man enough to hang out with all of us ladies! You should try to stay and chat one Saturday : )
Have a great time Carol!
Good Morning Katie Bug!!
Miss Kim sends you a big hug and hopefully will see you tomorrow!!
Have a great weekend Nikki!
Hi everyone, Kim, I hope your grandmother does well.
I just love all of yall, you know that?
thanks Kim! I have heard that mothers and sons share a unique bond. I am so in love with his pictures and can't wait to hold him!
Good Morning Sherri!
How are you doing? How is the paperwork going?
Everyone, Sherri is paperchasing for China. Well, I guess the paperchasing is over, but she's trying to get her dossier sent over so she can get a LID and she's really had a struggle with her agency.
Back at ya Amy!
Good Morning all..
to try to catch up...
Spaghetti for dinner tonight. However did try a new Chicken recipe this week that was pretty good.
I have tried to give a donation to the postage fund twice, but PayPal keeps rejecting me. I will try again today.
I really wanted to go back to China for a second daughter, but with the wait, my husband says it is not gonna happen.
On my self created diet (combination of WW and Southbeach) I have lost 14.5 pounds since February.
Plans today include the gym, trying to find spring sports to sign the boys up for, a trip to Lowes and Sears.
Good Morning Nancy!
You said that you are through the review room and your LID is November 2006 right?
We are waiting to get provincial approval from our government right now. The lady who has our file right now was the one who let everything expire in January before she bothered to look at it. So I have started calling her every three or four days. That's how you get her to do her work -harass her till she wants rid of you. Sad isn't it.
Margaret, at this point the kids don't have very different interests. both like being outside, playing ball, watching tv, making messes. We're not a real sportsy family. For us, the difference is probably that Mya likes frilly stuff and Noah doesn't care about that.
Way to go Nancy!
Margaret,
He's so darn cute, how could you help but fall in love?
It seems like there is a lot of activity going on with people waiting to bring babies home on the blogs that I follow. I think this is going to be a good year for many of us.
Yes, we are LID of November 2006. We just got our paperwork yesterday from USCIS to go have our fingerprints retaken on April
8th. Hopefully we won't have to do it a 3rd time.
I had a friend ask me how long we would let this go before we would throw in the towel. About crushed my heart!
I really hate to go but Lily has played long enough by herself! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
Have a great weekend Margaret!
I love, love, love my boys. They are such great people.
It's funny, when I imagined parenthood, I imagined parenting girls. Hah. God gave us three sons. I had to learn along the way what to do with them.
We do share a special bond and I really LIKE them (all of those people who tried to scare me about how horrible teenage boys are were wrong...teenage boys are fun!)
However, I'm glad I have daughters as well. Can't wait to get my new daughter!
I don't think that this is something that you really understand unless you have gone through it.
For people who have only bio kids, the emotional process is somewhat different that it is for us who are waiting.
I haven't had anyone ask me when we are going to give up. I do know that we have friends and family members who don't understand why we're doing this.
Well, ladies, I think it's time for me to run. Gotta get myself and the Bug dressed, then get my son to his friends' Bar Mitzvah.
I might be back, but I have a couple of errands to do while I'm out, so maybe not.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend, and Kimberley, I'll see you at church tomorrow!! (I've been lugging this CD & books around for several weeks -- I'd BETTER see you at church!!)
anyone coming to Atlanta any time soon?
Quick catch up-
Dinner-definately take-out ...it's Saturday. The kids love the tradition.
China: well my BIL/SIL are petitioning for an 8 year old. I will have to live through their process. For those praying kind of folks out their please say a prayer for them. It's their second "older child" adoption in a short period of time.
Good morning to all.
Shelly
Kelly,
I'll be at the 9:20 am!
Have a great day. : )
Good Morning Shelly!
How old was the first child that they adopted? Did the transition go well for them?
I wish I was going to Atlanta. I'm going to Chicago next week and then Kansas City the week after.
If your looking for a good vaction spot - Newfoundland. It is absolutly beautiful here, and everyone says how nice we all are.
I bet Atlanta is nice too.
Is anyone else here from Canada?
So Verna,
You are officially the blog fairy again???
Hmm...I don't think there are any Canadians on right now. But we do have quite a few who join in.
Hey ladies, I just wanted you to read Lori's post from yesterday. It's about WalMart. I'm astounded.
http://www.stressisthenewblack.blogspot.com/
RMJ-Yes, I am back up and running. Things are going so well here that I need something to keep my mind busy that is not child-oriented, if ya know what I mean.
Just made my contribution for postage. How long does it take to update?
Thank you Nancy!
I received notification in gmail, it should show up on Chip It square pretty quickly here.
Macie was 7- it is amazing how well she is doing. Macie had been in foster care. It really could not have gone any better. She is an absolute delight !
This new gal has been at the orphanage the entire time...so I am sure it will be a different experience.
If we ever go back ourselves it will be for a school age child...Macie is a real inspirtion.
Verna,
That is great news. I still have that box of clothes in the van for Noah. I'll get that out to you on Monday hopefully.
I know that I'm probably going to need some new LID numbers. I'll be posting 14 soon and only have up to 18.
Shelly,
That sounds wonderful. There is a blog I follow where a little girl was adopted at age 7 from Russia and she is doing great too. She was in an orphanage her whole life. She learned English very quickly and just is a perfect part of the family.
Tht story is very sad, but it doesn't surprise me. John was in a car accident ten years ago and recently got his settlement. He had to paid back his to insurance company all the money they paid out for his medical expenses.
Good Morning Kelly!
How is little Chloe this morning?
Gonna go get the day started.
Have a good week everyone.
Spring Break is over here so it is back to the grind. UUUGGGHHH!!!!
Wow Verna,
That is unbelievable. So, the woman won a lawsuit from the accident and Wal-Mart is taking back the money that the insurance company spent to save her life?
Hmmm. . . I don't really understand why someone would have to pay back the insurance company. Guess I need to read the fine print better. That is a scary circumstance.
Have a great weekend Nancy,
Our Spring Break is in 2 weeks.
RMJ, I'm doing a blog makeover give away to get traffice going again. Hope folks drop by my blogfairy site.
The kids are starting to wake-
They are all back to school Monday. Break is over !
Have a wonderful day everyone !
Have a great weekend Shelly!
Verna
I'd be glad to do a post for you. Do you have a little promo graphic?
Lucy the basset hound would like to say hello to everyone this morning! Shes driving me crazy
Good Morning Lucy! Do you need to be let out???
Verna,
None of my headers are on the new blogs. You made some really cool ones for me...
Wowee! Lots to catch up on! I have no clue what we're having for dinner. :) Probably eating out, I hope--we're one-night-a-weekers, too. As for the 2nd Chinese adoption, we've been logged-in for almost 3 months. Three months down, three years to go?? Who knows? We're in it for the long haul...and we haven't told hardly anyone that we know because we don't want any questions and comments right now. So only a few close friends and people in blogland know. :) I've been following Crystal's story and praying for her too!
Verna, I love the blogs you've done. They are very nice.
anything else exciting going on with anyone?
Good morning to Lucy the basset hound. Ginger (the chow/spaniel/?? mix says HI)
RMJ-I'll send you a graphic link. I'm going to give my earnings to Becky for now. SHe has pay pal which is nice.
I see I am getting entrants as we speak. I put a post on the Bethany Board. I know they don't like ads but I'm taking my chances!
And Chloe is wonderful, thanks for asking Kimberley. She's entirely a two-year-old these days! It's so much fun! (And challenging, too!)
Cant wait to use you again Verna for Random Thoughts. We loved our Christmas designs and Michael still gets compliments
Verna,
Does Becky have a referral or something? I know that people are raising funds, but I don't know what is happening. I should send her an e-mail.
Thanks everyone. The scrapbooking is so popular right now but I don't do that. Wasn't sure if you all would want my style. It is so fun for me and I get to help out Becky.
We had a lot of fun with Eli last year when we went through the 2's. There were some tantrums too, but all in all it was a great year. His little personality just really started to blossom.
Verna, I left a comment to be included in the blog design giveaway...I love your designs!!!
I love your stuff too Verna! You do a great job.
Do you guys like the new music?
At this point, Becky doesn't have a referral. They do have a child that they are hoping will be theirs but are unable to share much as it is all behind the scenes so far. Keep them in your prayers.
Good morning all!
I'm not usually on the computer on Saturday mornings, but HunnyB has staff duty today, so I'm home with the boy! Good morning all!
Verna,
I will pray for the Bilby's.
Good Morning Marla!
How are you today?
Good Morning Special K!
I love your Elmo blog.
Wanted to let you all know that the Littles are starting to get along better. More interaction and cooperation. Still some territorial issues but that will always be there. It's a blessing to hear Mya proudly tell folks "He's my brother, He's 2 and a half!!"
HI Karen! Hey everyone its my First Friday friend Karen
woohoo
Karen rocks! Yippppeeeee!
Must go, I have to get ready for work soon. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Good Morning, ladies! I have a little bit of time this morning...Kiara is happily watching Mickey Mouse right now :)
I can't believe there was more snow out in Wisconsin again! It's still cold here too & I am SOOOO READY for spring!
Marla,
You blog looks fabulous and Springy! I love the kids' pictures. : )
Have a great weekend Sherri!
Good morning, Amy!
Yeah, I redid the blog yesterday. Elmo seemed appropriate since that's usually the first think Micah says every morning!
I'm good today, Kimberley. Nothing better than sleeping in on a cloudy Saturday morning.
Yeah for Special K! Everyone please make her feel welcomed!
Oh thanks! That is my first attempt at a "scrappy" blog. I'm not as good at it as others I've seen, but I'm trying. :)
Welcome NYC!
It clear here. It's chilly, but no snow. You guys usually get whatever we had a couple of days after us. So, I think you should have some sunny days coming.
Kimberely, I've been meaning to ask you, where do you get all of the neat graphics & such that are on your blog? I LOVE them!
Gosh, I don't miss the wintery north! I miss snow at Christmas, but that's about it.
I have always loved Elmo. My 12 year old Tyler was really attached to him when he was little and now Eli loves him too. I still have the original Tickle Me Elmo.
Marla, Cute Kiddos!! 4Js?? I have a hard time with our names and they all have different letters!! And sometimes I throw in the cat and dog names for good measure ;)
That Elmo blog is darling!!! Good morning, Patricia! Chloe really likes Mickey Mouse, too...but right now, we're watching an "Elmo DDD."
Marla,
You did that yourself? That is fabulous girl.
We're watching Sesame Street and Elmo is watching the "skin channel" right now. Context is everything! LOL
Hi Kelley! Elmo was "king" in our hhld for so long...now it's the Backyardigans & Mickey...I kind of miss the red furry guy! :)
Haha, Blog Fairy, yeah, I don't know what we were thinking. We didn't start off with the intention of them all having the same initial, it just kind of evolved. It does get confusing, I usually just say "Hey you!"
Where do I get my graphics?
I get asked this a lot. I get them all over the place. It's like my hobby. At least 3 nights a week, I unwind my day by turning on my computer and looking for good graphics. I have literally thousands of them split up into different files. I have a good morning file with all of my goodmorning graphics, a holiday file, a seasonal file...you name it, I probably have it.
Then Verna designs most of my personalized stuff. Some other ladies have done headers for me too, but mostly Verna.
I do nothing on my own, I have no web-design talent.
Karen,
Your blog looks great.
Gals,
Karens been home with her son for a little while now and I have yet to meey Micah!
Chloe wavers back and forth...she'll sometimes ask to watch Elmo and sometimes "Signing Time." I have LOTS of those DVDs. She can sign so many words...it's truly amazing! There are some really cute songs in that series, too.
Well, Kimberley, it's a FABULOUS looking blog! :) I am in desperate need of a "blog-over" ...I have no web design talent either...it's a big mystery to me...although I used to work with computers, but that was eons ago & so much has changed.
Kimberley, you do have some amazing graphics! Whenever I try to get some, though, I end up accidentally downloading some program that Tom says I shouldn't have on my computer...so I've given up. That's why I only have some graphics occasionally from a publishing program I have...it's trickier than it seems to get good graphics!
Redmaryjanes, Micah keeps pointing to your avatar and saying shoe-shoes. The boy is obsessed with shoes. He slept in his shoes until earlier this week.
What's everyone up to today? We have no plans & that scares me, lol! I feel like, with a 3 yr. old we MUST have some plan in mind! Maybe it'll warm up & we can take Kiara out for a bike ride.
Well then Patricia,
You have to sign up to win Verna's Blog Make-Over! She is fabulous.
Well then, little Micah has a fan in me! I love shoes too. He is such a cutie. How old is he? He has been home for a month?
I entered myself for the blog makeover! I've never had anyone else do mine.
YES!!! Sign me up! lol! How do I sign up?
I would like to go to the zoo this weekend. We'll see. I'm going to re-pack some of the Starfishes boxes because some things need to be added and get them mailed out.
I also need to clean out my clothes and send a lot to Goodwill. It's been years and I have too many things I can't or won't wear anymore : )
Special K, LOVE the Elmo blog! Micah is adorable.
Just go to blogfairytemplates.blogspot.com
Verna has a post there for everyone to sign up. She does a really good job.
I have several bags and boxes that need to go to Goodwill as well. We just moved so I did a lot of cleaning out.
Marla,
I love the Easter egg with the glasses on it.
Well, I got home from work around 8a, made some oatmeal and now I am chilling out with you guys
Thanks, Kimberley...got it!! :)
Haha, isn't that funny? Derek drew that on there for him and he loved it. Next year I've got to boil more eggs, they had so much fun coloring them.
We've got a playdate with friends. I'd better get ready. We need to stop by the bookstore and look for a new Elmo book. Libby chewed the one Elmo book Micah had!
Have a great day Special K! Thanks for dropping in.
Any good baby names Amy?
I just cleaned out TONS of Kiara's old clothing...our doorman's wife works with families who are in desperate need of everything, so I just pack up the clothes & give them to him. It amazes me how fast those clothes accumulate & also makes me realize that I buy way too much stuff that is rarely worn; but at least they go to good use!
Ahhhh! Baby names!!! Love that subject ;) We're logged in ALMOST 6 months for DD#2 & still haven't come up with a name...although, we have like, what, THREE years to think of one?? lol!
I am sending a bunch of Eli's clothes to Verna and his smaller things I am shipping to Starfish.
I like to feel that our clothes are helping other people out too.
My girlfriend Julie just gave me some clothes for Sophia that were her girls. It's a big help.
Cleaning out the kids' clothes is a constant chore around here. I used to sell some of the nicer things on eBay, but I really like just giving them to someone I know really needs them.
Well, Ladies, I have to run now...a certain someone is getting mighty restless ;)
Have a WONDERFUL weekend, everyone!!
Bye Patricia! Have a good one!
I would have named Zachary Lindsay if he would have been a girl. I would have named Tyler Olivia and Eli would have been named Savannah.
But they were all boys.
I don't know how I came to the name Sophia, but it was one Tim and I both could agree on. Sophia Jane is for my Great Grandmother whose middle name is Jane and my Aunt who is named after her.
Watch me get referred a boy though, then we will name him Liam James.
I also like the name Naomi.
