Spring...

Today is the first morning that I have heard birds outside of my window. I had to open it up and let some cold air in to hear them for certain, but it was worth it. Regardless of the weather, I am declaring it Spring for me. I need it in my soul. This has been a long tough winter and I'm over it. I cleaned up my front porch yesterday. The snow that came 2 days ago is almost gone. The lake has really started to thaw. The sun is now up when I leave for work and it is still up when I come home. I can't tell you how much that really brightens my spirits.
Welcome Spring! I think I'm going to get a Springy skirt out to wear today and maybe some pumps that let my toes show. : )

I'm totally there too. This morning when I let the dogs out I could hear tons of birds just singing away. I LOVE that sound! As dreary as it is today, Maddy and I both have on spring like clothes. We'll just start a fire in the fireplace if we have to..LOL

Yesterday when I left for work, I saw (of all things) a green mallard duck waddling across my street. I had to stop to let him pass and then he hopped over to the sidewalk and kept going. It was really strange. We are probably 5 miles from the Lake Michigan and I don't know of any other small lakes closer. But, I took it as a sign of spring. It made me rather happy too!

It has been great seeing neighbor kids outside playing and riding bikes again. It is better to be able to go for walks outside, open windows and let fresh air in.I love spring.
However we are getting a spring snow storm today and could get up to 6 inches of snow.Good thing is it will be gone in a few days.

Kimberley, you've got the most awesome blog I've ever seen! Just when I think it can't look any better you do something new to it. You're amazing! You need to design blogs for others. Oh...I heard the birds singing yesterday and I did the same thing...I opened my windows. Then the nasty rain came after the flooding finally went down. Out of the next 6 days we are only getting 1 day of sunshine. But...the days will only get brighter and warmers...YIPEE!!! Happy Spring my friend!

Happy Spring Kim! If I remember right, your agency is going to allow you to look at SN kids soon? Is your agency part of the new "shared" list? there is the cutest girl with Hep B on a shared list. She turns 4 next month. If your agency is part of the whole new shared SN program, you could adopt one of many great kids because your papers are in. I don't understand this new program fully, but I know it's good news for those whose wait, like you. I've read they really move these kids papers super fast!!! People are getting PA's in 3 days, LOA's in 10 days, and travel in 6 weeks. Imagine!!!

Kim, I could be wrong, but I think Bethany is part of the new "shared" SN list program. You may check with them? When they finally do let you adopt it could go very fast. The lists are very large with new kids added every week, and they give a priority to families that are logged in. Who knows, you could have your daughter before the end of 2008? I hope for the best!!!
