Lily and I are trying to stay quiet while Wes sleeps as he works all night tonight. I don't think it will work so we are going to head to his sister's house to visit and stop by Super WalMart to get a few more things on our packing list in hopes that will bring on our LOA:) What book are you finishing?

GIRL OF 1000 BLOGS: I hoped I'd find you here...I've been enjoying your blog since you found me and put all my good header tips to use, and then "poof" you dissappeared after all your family drama, and I never got your email. Can I have an invite to your private blog? rach(dot)wanted4(at)gmail(dot)com.

I just peeked in at your blog and I think it is amazing what you are doing for the woman who has cancer...Amazing.

"The Wonder SPot" by Melissa Banks. I am almost done. It is pretty good-nothing earth shattering but enjoyable. It will be interesting to talk about it. Everyone will probably say "Did you like it?" It will be hard to discuss.

Pam and Jeff said...

Of course, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan is good. Midwives is a good discussion book. I also enjoyed Jodi Picoult's My Sister Keeper. It ended way different than I thought. I was suprised.
Pam

The Johnson Family said...

girl of 1000 blogs do you live in ca? I see you are at disneyland?

Margaret M said...

we really enjoyed working on the rooms and Lily loves her new big girl bed...now if she would only sleep in it!

Pam and Jeff said...

I was looking at the picture's of Lily's room. Love her bow holder. Do you know where you found it? That picture of her in her jammies and sandals-tells it all!!!
Pam

The Johnson Family said...

Oh I hope he gets done in time to travel? I work two overnights a week at the hospital and it works out well my husband homeschools those two mornigns!! but I will be so thrilled when I am an actual nurse!!

Margaret M said...

I Loved Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and am currenty reading February Flowers by Fan Wu. She describes Guanzhou and it put me right back in the city. I have not read Midwife but wll have to add it to my list.

The Johnson Family said...

Pam thanks for the suggestions I think I have heard of my sister's keeper..has anyone read there is no without you?

Margaret M said...

My sister-in-law bought the bow holder at a little boutique in Louisiana. I have tried to find more but have not been able too....they would be great secret pal gifts!

Margaret M said...

How much longer do you have in your nursing program? Wes will finish his LPN this May and then has another year to complete the RN program. I will be so glad when he is done!

Margaret M said...

I like some of the Jodi Picoult books and I just finished the new Anita Shreve, Body Surfing..it was a good, quick somewhat light read. I have not read There is no wiithout you.

Pam and Jeff said...

There is No Without You. I have not read it. Is is it suppose to be good.
She did great with that bow holder. It is just too cute. You never know where and when you will find something special. It is good she got it when she saw it.
Pam

The Johnson Family said...

I have 2 semesters to finish my LPN then I may take a break but the lpnto rn bridge is 9months. I am just at the beginning and i ma going to take a semsmter off when my angels gets home!! i have a early childhood degree already so this is the second round of college much harder with 5 kids:) but still rewarding! i would love to do neonatal, peds, lactation, ob NICU anything in that area? what does your hubby want to do? Pam what is your field of nursing?

The Johnson Family said...

I am sorry it is there is no ME without you.. I have not read it but heard it is a fabulous adoption book.

The Johnson Family said...

I can not believe it is 6 mos today since we habve been waiting for Savannah-Hope to come home. All we need is the 171-h I am prayin git comes today or early next week.

Pam and Jeff said...

I currently am the Clinical Informatics Clinician for three EDs. Basically, I teach nurses how to use computer applications while taking care of patients. I am not directly taking care of the patients but still in the room with the nurse who it. I really like it. IT still has some strange hours. I also support different areas throughout the hospital that are rolling out new systems. The cool thing about that is that I am exposed to all different areas.
Pam

Margaret M said...

Wes is not quite sure yet. He is leaning towards ER and is interested in more school but I don't know how much more I can take:) My sister-in-law was a nurse in the NICU until she stayed home to raise my 4 nieces and nephew (ahh but she is never really home!) and my brother is an oncologist practicing in Louisiana

The Johnson Family said...

pam that is awesome I am not sure about Ed..some crazy ones come through there!

Kristy said...

Good morning everybody!

Steffie I am having trouble also with my "customize" page, and apparently alot of other people are. I clicked on something the other day and their were comments to "Blogger" about this.

Margaret M said...

Pam that sounds really interesting. I like a job that is ever changing. I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist and I specialize in children who are deaf/hard of hearing or who have feeding issues. I love working with the baby babies.

The Johnson Family said...

Our twins were in the NICU and a good or bad nurse makes such a difference in that time of your life I have always wanted to do NICU but got freaked out that I could not do nursing at 18 so went early childhood but know I know I am supposed to be a nurse I long for it, but I still only want to work 2 days a week because I love being home! i have only been working 6 mos and i have been home almost 8 years

The Johnson Family said...

margaret our twins have been in speech services since age 2 and it has helped them so much!

Margaret M said...

I think the NICU would be the most rewarding and the hardest for obvious reasons.

Hi Kristy

Pam and Jeff said...

Your husband would love the ED. It is different everyday. You know never know what you will face. Well I can tell what you will face right now, that is flu season!!
Pam

Margaret M said...

As much as I hate to, I really need to go. Lily has done great staying quiet so her Daddy can sleep but she is getting restless with me on the computer so I better run. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Johnson family, do you have a blog, I would love to see pics of the twins! and the rest of your family!

Kristy said...

Hi Margaret, that first picture of Snow day on your blog is just priceless, I love it!

EVERYONE MY SON IS OUT OF IRAQ!!!!

Pam and Jeff said...

The hospital I work in delivers the most babies in the US. So, you can imagine our NICU is giant. It takes a special nurse to be able to care for those little babies and familues. I would be scared that I would hut one. They are just so fragile>
Pam
Hi Kristy!!!!

Kristy said...

Johnson family could I be invited to see your beautiful family?

The Johnson Family said...
