Good Morning..
I clicked on my little sidebar and it brought me right to you...
I am getting ready for good ole work
Yeah, I got your e-mail last night that you have to work this morning. Any word on that position that may be opening up that you want?
Okay.. I am loving the lady brushing her teeth.. you find the cutest things..
I actually sent in my resume(sp) for the regional office.. but I think the one at the store will be opening up.. he went for his interview on thurs.. and it went well. so I am hoping
Yeah, I love her. I've had that graphic for a while but just put her up there today.
what are you doing different on the comments..I don't notice anything different
How was Zach's game last night.. did they win????
Good Morning RMJ and Isabella's Mommy,
Good Morning Nancy....
Hey there Nancy! How are you doing? Now that I'm all signed up for the bow swap, I don't know where to go to get some good bows. I think Gwen's Mom is selling some to raise money for Savannah, maybe I should order some from her.
Did you get anymore people for the bow swap????
I think that was a GREAT turnout
Not much planned here today. My dad has been here since Wed. He is taking us out to breakfast and then leaving.
Need to get some things packed up for him to take home to my niece.
Also need to work on the bow swap.
I thought that it would take you right to the bottom of the comments without having to scroll, but it doesn't. You can hit the jump to comment box on the top and you can comment right away, but that's about it I think.
I have a wonderful place here.. can't show mine that I buy because then my secret pal and secret buddy would know who I am.. LOL
I currently have 25 people signed up. I found bows at a little specialty shop here. I think there was a participant that said she knows someone that does it as well.
I got someone signed up today from England. Any takers on that one?!
The game last night was REALLY good. They tied 1 to 1 but it was very intense and Zach's coach and his wife each came to me separately to tell what a fantastic job they think Zach is doing on the team this year. So, that felt really good.
WOW... that is really neat...
I am game..
Who is it from England?
Are we swapping with one person or a couple
Don't you just love it when the coaches come up to you personally.. that is a GREAT feeling as a parent..
I have sent things to England before and as long as the package is light, it's no more expensive than mailing it in the US if you use the US Postal Service anyway. So, I'd love to swap with someone in England. So, if Kim and I sign up for her, that's a good start.
Do the other boys play any sports????
Colton just started playing football and hopefully he makes the basketball team.. he is growing soo fast..
And KyLee I think is going to play volleyball her freshman yr... can't wait..
25 is an awesome turn-out. I think I signed up to swap with 4 people. I love these things.
And yes, it felt great to hear that he is doing well. Zach's coach had him switch positions which he took really hard but in the end has been so good for him.
I decided to have each person swap one bow to the number they said they would do. You said four, I think, so you will get 4 names.
Great Job Zach. You are a brave Mom. I would fear my kid would lose a tooth. Of course, that happened in our backyard with just my 3 playing.
Zach plays hockey, golf on occassion but is really big into water sports. He loves to ski and wakeboard.
Tyler plays tennis.
In the agegroup Zach is in, full face coverage is required. So, he wears a mouthguard, but his entire face is covered by a metal cage on the front of the helmet. I have too much invested in the braces he wore for 3 years to let anything near his teeth : )
I have 2 children I need to start on braces. It is so hard when insurance won't cover it, and your finances are strapped.
I also wonder if they don't recommend more kids for orthodontists now because they simply can.
Tell me about braces... Nick had them first.. and I still have a hard time with him keeping his retainer in at night..
KyLee has them on right now.. they are just waiting on some teeth to come in.. her teeth are sooo slow..
and in a few months.. it is finally my turn.. i go to the dentist every 3 months.. and I am sick of it.. time to get my not so straight teeth straight...LOL
oops..didn't mean to post it twice...
Zach's upper and lower jaws were the same size, so his mouth wouldn't close properly and he had crooked teeth so we knew he needed them.
Kate my step-daughter had TMJ and was in a lot of jaw pain, so she needed them.
Tyler's teeth are crooked but everything else is ok.
I am lucky and the insurance last year went up to 2000.00 coverage and would cover adults.. this year it went away untess you had it last year.. so I have to get them this year or tooo bad..I will pay full price..
Under your post is a garbage can. If you click on it, it will give you the option to delete the extra.
I have had some people ask me if I am going to continue to swap names monthly. Would any of you be interested in that? Do you think it would fly?
If I did that, I would only give 1 name a month.
Can we send more then one bow to our people..
I have two girlfriends who have braces. They have the clear ones that don't show very much.
Tim's insurance covers $1500 and mine covers $1000. Then my ex-husband covers the difference so we paid nothing for Zach's. Kate's we're splitting what's left with her Mom. Tyler we probably won't have to pay because it will be the same situation as Zach's.
So swap a bow each month.. or different things...
I say that is to your discression (sp). I'm not going to police it.
I think I want to send 2 bows to each person.
It sounds like they want to do bows with different themes.
You are lucky..
I paid the total for Nicks.. and KyLee's we split with her dad..
So I think it is worth it..
My mother didn't have the insurance or the money..
My original post said about $5 per bow should be used. I am going to stick to that as a minimum. I would hate for someone to get a dollar store cheapy.
That would be fun...
I would enter..
So then you send one bow of that theme to one person..????
My oldest has had braces once when he was younger due to a fall.
He now needs to start the 2nd set that all his teeth are in.
My middle son has a bad jaw line that needs some work.
I would like to do 2.. the shipping would not be anymore
That is how I understand the monthly swap to go. Plus you get a new name each month. No mystery.
Good morning ladies :)
good morning Kim.
That could be kind of fun, but maybe if the swap switched monthly too so you didn't have a ton of bows at the end of the year.
Like if you had a bow swap one month, a bib swap the next, a book swap, a sock swap, a Christmas ornament in December.
See where I'm going with this? I'd sign up for sure.
Hi there Kim!
You have all been chatty this am 42 posts already...
Not much going on in Badger Land today but we are heading over to Madison tonight for a hockey game as well.. They are playing the Gophers big rival..
Good Morning Kim...
What are your plans this fine weekend...
You won't be freezing your butt off...LOL
I LOVE Oreo.. did you find a new name for him...So glad they decided to let him go to a GREAT home...
Kim that sounds like fun... I'd be in for that...
That would be my fear. I love bows, but do I really want 50 of them?
I would sign up for the swap too..
Yeah, we are talking it up this morning. We're talking about Nancy's bow swap and braces.
His name is still oreo but it just doesn't seem to fit him... He's 6 mos old so we could still change his name without any problem... Shadow is having a ball with him... Kind of like a live squeek toy :)
Maybe the bib, book, sock, thing would work well..
Then you have different stuff..
I showed my husband the picture and he said.. don't think about it..
I just laughed at him...
Does anyone know which blog is doing the drawing for the camera? I saw it a couple of days agao and now I can't remember which one it was on..
Kim- are you heading to AZ. next weekend????
I like the idea of switching it out on like a 3 or 4 month rotation. Bows, books, socks, etc.
I don't know, but I'd love to check it out. Does anyone remember?
Jeff said this was it :) I actually saw another one on their site that is just adorable :) - he said 3 was enough :)
Yes it is
http://wheneastmeetssouth.blogspot.com/
The actual blog is Ni Hao Y'all...When East Meets South..

Good Morning Steffie. You know you are a hoe too! Smoooooch!!
Steffie is looking for a fight this morning...isn't she???
When does your man come home?
No won't be heading to AZ :(...
I also like the idea of switching it up...

Good Morning Amy...
Good morning friends! Worked last night so I wont be here long but at least had to stop by!
Emma and Ella are popular right now. So is Sophia, but I love it so I'm keeping it for our girl.
Look at that, I moved to our downstairs computer and I'm posting as Zach. Hold on.
I was like.. why is Zach making a comment...LOL..
Sophia is not as popular as it used to be but it will always be classy and girly!
Kim Bison,
I have to say that now because there have 3 Kim's on this morning.
Do you have a computer in your bedroom so you can follow along while you get ready?
Now, are going to call Lynn Marie, Lynn Marie or just Lynn?
You know.. I run from room to room... my husband says he should video it..
I will go put on my make-up...don't use very much.. come back..
Start curling my hair.. come back..
then I will sit for awhile.. then go back..
so it is really funny..
he told me to put the laptop in the bedroom.. but I like sitting in the chair..LOL
Are you laughing yet..
No not just Lynn she will be LynnMarie !!!!
Good morning ladies!
There is a beautiful snow falling gently here in my corner of the world -- how about yours?
We have 4 computers in the house.. but our main one is in the dining/ family room.. but I never use the laptop.. it sits on the table.. hubby will use it when I am always on the other one.. and the kids all have one..
so I should put the laptop in the bedroom would make more sense..
Its just cold here in Atlanta!!!
Good Morning Kelly!
It's snowing here too. Fluffy snow, maybe good for a snowman.

WHERE DID KELLY GO?
Amy,
Did you sign up for Nancy's bow swap?
Found it... Did you see I put my name and john's ... I don't think everyone knows my name... so that might help... instead of Isabella's mommy and daddy..
I did not but will next time as we are tight financially right now and b) i cant find the time..
next time for sure
Good morning! It's only 8:00am (for me) and I see that you're already in full swing! It's going to take me awhile to catch up on what you all are talking about, but I thought I'd say hi first!!
What did I miss? My computer is so SLOW this morning!
Hey, great news (well, on it's way to being great anyway) I shipped off our documents to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago yesterday. I was hoping to be DTC by the end of January, but since that won't happen, now I'm hoping that we're DTC the 1st week of February.
I hear you Amy girl.
Hi there Kelley!
That is good news Kelly. Little Elizabeth with be home soon. I can't wait to see her. How was your week?
We are expecting highs in the upper 40's today, and 50's tomorrow.
RMJ, thanks again for doing this each week
YOU ROCK!!!
I went over there Kim but I think she has comment moderation on so I didn't see your name. I know who you are though.
heh. Saw your post Kimberley -- glad you missed me!
: ) Thanks Amy.
I love that everyone comes so we can talk and get to know what's going on in each others lives.
I did miss you, you were here and then I couldn't find ya! I know you have a crazy household too though.
No I mean when I comment.. it now says..(isabella's mommy and daddy(kim & john)..
Well .. guess it is off to Disneyland...LOL..
We have a HUGE event.. the arizona cardinals kicker will be there to sign autographs...(I am not a cardinals fan.. BRONCOS for me..)
Glad I was able to chat for awhile...
Have a Great Day all..
HUGS TO YOU ALL..
Pit stop..
Starbucks...
LOL..
Hey Kimberley, my comments are kind of weird today...there's a separate little box on the side that won't maximize, and there's no refresh button, so I have to exit out of the comments section and re-enter from your blog. Do you think that's your attempt at a new setting, or on my end? I'm going to have to investigate this... :)
Have a great day Kim!
My busy-ness this morning has to do with making coffee (why don't I remember to set the coffee-maker the night before?) and attending to every whim of the princess (who is quite demanding this morning, I must say). all of the boys are sleeping and Daddy is out of town working, so I get to do all of the bowing and scraping to HRH myself. It's exhasting!
Kelley,
I made some changes that Verna suggested might make it faster and easier to maneuver through the posts.
IS THIS NEW SET UP HARDER EVERYONE? LET ME KNOW AND I'LL CHANGE IT BACK. I PUT IT ON POP UPS.
Whatever is wrong with my comment box seems to be on my end...my other blogs are doing it too. (Sigh!)
Zach is in the shower.
Tyler's nursing a tooth that just fell out.
And Eli is watching Oliver and Company, he loves that movie.
I'm having a difficult time with this comment thing, too. I cannot refresh it at all, so I have to exit out of comments, back to the blog and then re-enter comments.
Katie is dancing to Colby's song on your blog -- oh how cute!
Nothing looks different to me right now!!!
Anyone here from the Memphis area? we are headed there in Feb for a trip
Glad it's not just me, Kelly. I'm wondering why the other blogs I visit are doing this too, though. I need to find a way to change my settings...
Good morning LADIES!!! This is Kristy, I can't stay long , my cousins 25th weding anniversary and I have a ton of stuff to do and three places to be in the next 3 hours and I am still in my pj's because I did not want to miss any of this! lol I love the little lady brushing her teeth!
Let me see what I can do here.
Hi, Kristy! I loved the birthday pictures you posted (forgot which day it was)...very sweet!
Are any of you planning on going to the East meets West conference in Chicago in April?
Good Morning Kristy! You have a VERY busy day today. I hope your cousin has a wonderful Anniversary.
Yay! You fixed it! Thanks! Now I can refresh and it's faster for me to see the comments!
Thank you Kim, we decorated and everything last night, but today is just the finishing touches. I was 15 when I was in her wedding, I was the jr. bridesmaid, wow time sures does fly!
Anyone have big plans sfor the day..
BTW, if you check either of my blogs I just posted a link to the sweetest blog I am reading right now
Ok good, Kelly is this better for you too now? I have two Kelly/Kelley's today.
Kristy,
We went to an EMW conference in Colombus OH a couple of years ago and found it very informative.
Kimberley, whatever you just did for the comments is MUCH better -- thanks!
Hi Kelley, thank you. Aren't they just too cute, especially that Jacob with his dirty little face. Zane on the right has down syndrome and I love that picture because he looks completely without DS to me if that makes any sense. God love him he is just a doll.
WHAT IS THE EAST MEETS WEST CONFERENCE? I HAVEN'T HEARD OF IT.
25 years married -- that's great.
How long has everyone else been married?
We're working on 19 for 2008.
Kelly, I like your new icon for your comments. Cute, cute, cute! We haven't got any big plans today...Tom is going to go to Lowe's to get a tile saw. We have two bathrooms in dire need of remodeling, and I'm hoping he'll get to it soon. It's been months already...all we've done is start to peel the yucky 1986 flower wallpaper. The bathrooms need new tubs, new tile, new wallpaper--and of course new paint, new towels, new showercurtains. I have to have my pretty trimmings. Hee, hee, hee!
(truly blessed), we have gone to some travel seminars that were really good and I know that some of the conference will be a repeat but it will be a nice weekend getaway also, and we will feel like we are doing "something" in regards to our baby!
I'm not signed up for the bow swap, but I know a great site for pretty hair clippies. I ordered several of the ones that were being discontinued and were on sale. They are even better when you see them in person. They truly stay in Chloe's hair without slipping, too, unlike her bows. Check them out--they may work for the swap. http://www.hairclippy.com/
I only have 2 bathrooms and they both could use some work too. But my man isn't handy.
We have been married for 4.5 years.
East Meets West (EMW) is a conference put on by Great Wall. It's not just for GWCA families though. They bring in speakers and have panel discussions -- you can sign up for four "talks" and they can be about everything pertaining to the paperchase to referral to home with baby/common medical concerns etc.
We heard Cindy Champnella speak at the one we went to. She was AMAZING. Adam Pertman also was a keynote speaker at the EMW we attended.
we celebrated 6 years in October!
It is in Chicago April 19th and 20th, I am pretty sure. We are flying out there on the 18th. Gosh I wish some of you could go. Are you with Great Wall?
Kelly,
19 years is wonderful. You have such a beautiful family and your husband is so nice.
Kelley,
thanks for the comment about my little dancing girls -- originally there were seven, but I had to cut four out to make them fit anywhere. I just love them too!
Kristy,
You'll enjoy the conference and you're right about it being a nice weekend away.
PLUS, you'll see some beautiful little girls there!
Amy isn't your hubby that has the Rockin 80's blog?
That sounds wonderful. We are with Bethany and they don't have anything like that that I know of.
Kelley,
I will check out that clippy site.
I am really looking forward to it, when you go to things like that it reminds you that is really gonna happen!!!
More on bows...Check out this link, too...these are the ones that are on sale (I bought several of these). There are lots of bows, too. They are all hand-made and of excellent quality. When I got mine, they were even on a ribbon with a round key-ring loop at the top so that I could hang them nicely. Gotta love it! http://www.hairclippy.com/shop_sales.asp I have another source for some cheaper bows, too. They won't fit the $5 criteria for Nancy's bow swap, but if you want lots of pretty bows for everyday wear, they are SUPER affordable. There's no website for this lady...but I have a great "catalog" that she mailed me. If you email me at kapow1969@yahoo.com, I'll forward it to you. :)
Kimberley, thanks for the sweet compliments. I am TRULY BLESSED!!
Kim it is not just for GW families, go to Great Walls site and there is a graphic for it , just click on it and go from there, I would love for you to go.
Hey guys I gotta go to bed but I will miss ya..Gotta work tonight...
If anyone has time go say to hubby over at
www.valtool.blogspot.com and or www.rockingthhe80s.blogspot.com
he was so happy you visited last week
Kelley,
I checked out the main clippy bows site and they do have some cute things.
and yes that is my hubby, thanks for asking..he has so much planned for the blog he acts like a little boy
Goodnight Amy!
I'll try to get over and leave some notes for you hubs.
Have a great weekend.
Amy he left the nicest comment on my blog after I had left him one, tell him thank you very much. You gotta a winner there!!!
Hey ladies I could sit here all morning, but in an hour or so I would be kickin myself for not getting off my butt since I have so much to do, so I hope all of you have a great day and an awesome week, Love to all!
Love, Kristy
Kristy, that conference sounds like it would be great--and it does help with the wait to "do something." I did all of that stuff while we were waiting for Chloe!
Amy, I love your husband's blog...I commented this week to him that I like to play the music while I check my blogs. :)
Kristy,
Have a great day and get going!!
Kelley the other day I was on glitter-graphics.com and they have a blinkie that says something like I love rubber duckies, or something like that and I thought of you, if you go look click on blinkies and search it, I thought of you when I saw it , it was kind of cute!
OK I am really leaving now, talk to all of you later!!! Bye bye
I will go look at it...thanks!!!
Next weekend I am going to do the first post for the Starfish fundraiser. She needs summer clothing, baby shoes and winter sleepers with feet. She is also asking for Playtex bottles with the bags.
I guess I shouldn't call it a fundraiser since it's more of a supplyraiser.
Kimberley, I'm out of the loop with your Starfish fundraiser...sounds like a great idea from what I do understand about it, though.
Who else is still here besides me and you?
Hello ladies I'm back :)
Just trying to read thru and catch up... I was actually thinking about going tothe conference in Chicago but didn't know if I could since I'm not with Great Wall...
Bye to all who have left already and I should probably get moving myself (but I won't...I'll keep popping back in, I know myself too well!).
I love the idea of a "supply raiser" for Amanda and the Starfish team. I so admire her work. I'd love to do what she does when I retire.
In case anyone is interested here is the link for the conference
http://www.emwconference.org/welcome
Good Morning. Am I too late to join in this morning? I haven't even read all the comments yet!
Wow, I have never heard of this conference before. It sounds great.
