How was your week? Going to they gym? That's so cool.
It was pretty good..Just finished posting about our First Friday meeting last night and I am going to the gym for the first time in a long time..Got my IPOD and new shoes..im set to go
Good for you. I have decided that I need to get more serious about losing weight. I lost 15 pounds last year and I'm really good at keeping it off, I just have to get it off. I think if I could lose 20 pounds this year, I'd be right where I want to be and a happier woman. I just don't feel attractive right now.
Oh I understand that I have a lot more than 20 pounds to lose! Ha!
HOw has your week been?
My week has been really busy but good. Everyone at work is coming down with bronchitis, so I'm glad I haven't caught it yet. And the kids are all well.
The house has remained pretty clean which is a blessing. So, I guess all in all it was great.

I think that is a great goal. What exactly to do you mean by organized? I have to clean out our closets and go through the house and get some things cleaned out and sent to Goodwill. I am pretty organized out of necessity. Our house is very full. Every bedroom is filled with a child, one has two. We have VERY LITTLE storage. So I am forced to make sure that what we have in here fits the kids and us and is needed. Anything that isn't used has to hit the road or we turn into a giant CLUTTER and that makes me nuts.
If someone wanted to come visit today, I would have to decline because my house is in horrible condition. I clean it regularly but there is so much clutter everywhere!

Do not feel badly. It happens. Our group made it for a year with no changes which I think is great. We have 2 new changes now with the new year. I think that is pretty normal. I want you to have fun with it. I know who your new person will be and I'll get her info to you hopefully next month. I am waiting for confimation as to when I should make the move. Until then you can hang tight or shower me with love. It's up to you.

We are to the point where people don't even ask anymore. I spoke about it yesterday because my boss asked for our vacation schedule for next year and I told him that I don't know. WE HAVE NO MATERNITY LEAVE FOR ADOPTIONS. Isn't that awful? So I have to save up all my vaca. I know we most likely won't have Sophia next year, but if we find our daughter on a SN list, we might.

Really, one of the blogs I follow is Taiwan Treasures and they have been waiting a really long time. They are next in line at their agency but it's been 2 years of waiting.
We have had friends waiting for their child in Taiwan for a while now.. Cant wait!
We just re-did all of our paperwork. We will be taking a close look at the SN babies this year after we make it through the review room. Our agency won't let us see them until then.
Michael and I think we will work on a biological baby this year!!! Ya never know!!!

Hey, would either of you girls be willing to a post for the woman on my blog who is making dresses? The baby she is trying to bring home has been labeled with MS and mental retardation in China. I guess she is close to the end of her time and her file could be sent back if they can't get their payments together. The mother Robin does not believe the child is mentally retarded, but just has the MS. They are a really nice Christian family and they need help.

I am a Operation Manager at Home Depot..
I just moved to this new store because the store I was at was a Contractor store and they decided to close it.. I was the Human Resource over at that store..
I moved to this one to slide into a HRM spot but that guy hasn't got his own store so I am doing Operations right now.. Not liking it to well.. it is a lot of babysitting..
But yesterday I put my name in for a HRM spot at the Coorperate office so we will see in the next month if anything comes out of it...

It is cold here still, but we're supposed to warm up to the 40's today. The kids are disappointed with the warm-up though. We live on a lake and it is very frozen over. During the week it's nice and cold,but it's been warming up on the weekends and makes things slushy so they can't skate.

She signs her name? I don't sign my name on anything. But my first box had our address on it, I couldn't get FedEx to mail it with the same name and address as the sent to. So I blew it the first month. Now I just use the US postal service and they don't care.
I do have a list of all of the Secret Buddy's. There are only 9, so I haven't released the list because I didn't want people to figure out who they were.
Thank you for doing that post for Robin. She is so happy that the orders are coming in and it looks good for them that they will be able to bring this baby home.

You do really grow to care for the people out here. You see their children and what is happening in their lives on almost a daily basis.
I have been really inspired by so many of the women. It is amazing what can be accomplished when we band together for a good cause.
Robin IS a sweety. I had fun with her site and knowing how to make direct links was such a help. Becky B shared that and I truly made use of it. Robin has bought some black fabric with chinese symbols. I think she may be going to put it with some pinks for the quilt. OOOO, doesn't that sound cute??!!
I didn't know she was making you a quilt. That does sound lovely. I just have been so touched by her e-mails. She is such a good person. I hope that she can raise the needed funds. I just e-mailed Kim at 3 Peanuts and she said she would do a post for her. Her blog gets 300-400 hits a day.

During the summer different story he still plays baseball in the Land O Lakes divisison here in WI... (So I guess in his own little way a pro)

We have our new minivan. So they can watch a movie. Tyler has a PSP, but I don't know if he will take it. My older kids kind of outgrew their gameboys and DS's. They only take their ipods and cell phones around. They text their friends like mad.

It is crazy busy, but I guess I'm just so used to it. We've had a really nice holiday season with no sports, but now everything is kicking up again. Tyler starts his tennis again next week.
The only thing that has been good about waiting is that I've had time to learn so much off of the other blogs. I've seen families dealing with attachment issues and the joys and struggles on IA. I've really got a much better view of what is going to happen.
She really is a great woman, so please order and help her if you can. She adopting a little girl who has been diagnosed with MS and mental retardation. They don't think that she really is mentally retarded though, China tends to always link those two together.
I don't know what the situation is, but evidently there is a time issue and she needs the funds quickly.

Carrie and Jon are home today. Having a small immediate family gathering.
I'm irritated that at 21 and 17 the two big girls are still acting like stupid immature girls but I guess that goes with the territory.
So, the 17 year old brings out the teenager in the 21 year old? You are kind of like us that you have have a wide age span of children. Ours aren't quite that old yet, but it's fun to watch the dynamics.

We had a wonderful time over the holidays. Things are getting back to normal now. I'm taking down our decorations tonight. We have a hockey game today that is 2 hours from home, so we're going to be on the road a lot.
Kate has her 'boyfriend' over today and he seems to be a nice boy, so we're checking him out and getting to know him. We don't allow dating until 16, so 'special friends' have to come over to the house.

THERE WAS A FIRE ON OUR STREET. We didn't even hear the sirens or anything. One of my girlfriends sent me an e-mail asking if we were ok and I saw the house on the news internet site. We don't know the family, it is down a ways from us, but very sad. The house is totally destroyed.

Fires are a scray thing. We almost lost our house 2 yrs ago when our neighbor put hot ash in the trash can and the gas line blew. It was awful!

I don't know how you keep all the blogs straight, you do so many. They are really looking beautiful.
How is our Mr. Brian? I am worried about him.
We are about an 1 1/2 from DC.....although our area is growing fast....we will be as big as DC very soon....sad.....I liked being in the country..............
Our homes are very close together. We are allowed to have campfires and such and people do burn their leaves int he fall. I have lived here for 17 years and there has never been a fire. I'm glad that no one else was affected, and I feel just awful for the family who lost their home. I haven't heard what the cause of the fire was.
Mr Brian has not told me how he is doing mental health wise. I'm hoping better. He was very happy to get a new daily blog look. I wish I could distract him from his bummer attitude. It's helpful to take the focus off self but can't seem to get that across. Makes me concerned too.
I don't know if any of you saw it on TV last year, but in our area we had a group of teens burning down people's homes last year. Race Wars..........do you believe that? 2008!! I wonder what some parents are teaching their children! Thankfully no one was hurt in the fires. These were brand new homes that weren't even finished!! Sad, Sad!!! Only about 45 mins from where we lived....

I see that. I keep reading, and then refresh when I get to a new person so I remember where I left off.
How is the new house? Are the boys ready to start their new schools?
The boys started on Thursday this week. They all seemed to do well. This was the first time in all our moves that they had to move mid-year. We have usually tried to do it at the end of a year.
The house is slowly coming together. I took some pictures yesterday since people keep asking. I plan on posting them soon.
Hubby went into work today for a couple hours and took the two younger ones with him.
I needed the quiet.
