We're Getting a New Roof and some Siding...

My camera says that it has no more memory, so you all will have to find some fun in my halloween collection. We are having a new roof put on starting tomorrow. They are going to put the big dumpster in the driveway and tear off the old shingles (all 3 layers of them). Hopefully it all goes well. They are supposed to be done by Thursday.
We also have some siding that needs to be replaced on the side of the house. Has your husband ever melted the siding repeatedly by not monitoring your gas grill? Why yes, twice this past summer Tim melted the house.

OMG. I know the part about Tim melting the ouse wasn't meant to be funny but I fell on the floor. That is the kind of mistake I would make.

Good luck with the new roof. I hate the noise they make when they do that.

Richard did that to our old house! I can see that the previous owner has done the same at this house, too. It's not completely melted, but warped. Too funny!

its so no fun to spend money on that kind of stuff...
Enjoy your new roof. :)

We have a brick house, but also a brick patio, my husband dripped grease onto the patio one year and couldn't get it clean so he flipped the bricks... then dripped grease on the other side!!!

I bought a nifty grill mat at the beginning of this summer...my husband said, "Oh, I was waiting for those to go on sale..." ?

We had our roof done last year, hope it goes smoothly.

It's too funny about why you have to get the siding replaced!

Awh yes we replaced our roof a few years back. They make a ton of noise. Thank goodness he only melted the side of the house and not catch the house on fire. My nieghbor decided to put hot ashes in his trash can a few years ago, catching our fence and roof line on fire including his whole roof top. Not a fun thing.

Why did you need a new roof? Was it damaged recently or was it just past its time and needed to be replaced? Either way, I hope the new roof is a strong and sturdy one that has kept you safe from the crazy weather we’ve had these past few years.

3 layers of shingles? That’s a lot to go through! The roofing job must’ve taken a little longer than you had hoped it would. Still, a new roof is stronger protection against really harsh weather, so it was definitely worth it in the end. What roofing material did you choose for your new roof?

Great news! It's very exciting when something new is about to happen in the house. Changing the roofing and siding is an opportunity for you to make big changes in the look of your house. You can choose another color for the siding and another material for the roof. It would make your house look like it's brand new again. I just hope that your husband will make the right maintenance for the new roof and sidings to avoid early replacement. Good luck! Have a great day!
