2 Things I Picked Up at the Blog Party

I came across the blog of a family that is acting as missionaries in Haiti. I am mesmerized. I will follow their blog as long as I can. They have adopted several children from the area, including a darling baby girl named Phoebe Joy. They provide medical treatment and as much support as they can to the people around them. I strongly encourage you to visit www.livesayhaiti.blogspot.com and leave behind words of encouragement. They appreciate them. Different family members post.

Both sites are on my favorite blogs list if you want to take a quick peek.

I know that many of my on-line girlfriends are scrapbookers. I found this scrapbooking site and I think it looks like it could be fun. I signed up to get some of their e-mailings. You can check it out at www.realwomenscrap.com.

What an amazing story!

The scrapbooking site looks interesting. I wonder if they work in Canada too?

I will check both sites, thanks for the invite.
Now that I've discovered blogging, it kind of seems like blogging is the new scrapbooking. Lots of similarities don't you think? And equally addicting.
I do eventually hope to turn my blog into a memory book for our kids.

Thanks for the link, I love scapping but I have fallen a bit behind lately due to this new interest!!! I spent 4 hours on Monday uploading photos to winkflash. I'll be missing for awhile when they arrive!

The photo of the little girl is so beautiful and haunting. Thanks for sharing the blogs.

what a sweet idea to have a diamond for each family member on your hubbies ring! I have not adopted any children... we serve in Russia and my youngest son and I work in an orphanage. The kids there are priceless!

Stopping by to say "Hi" for the party! :-) Thanks for visiting our blog and leaving a comment!! That is so neat that you are adopting a baby from China. I grew up in South America, and I knew a lot of people who came down to adopt a baby. I hope you get her soon! :-)

I checked out the blog...it's great! What a courageous and giving family. I'll be sure to follow along.

Oh, by the way, I'd like to add a picture icon that comes up with my posts like everyone elses but can't for the life of me figure it out...I need help...please.

Yippee!!!! I finally figured it out...I now have a picture icon to go with my posts...just like everyone else! This is a pic of my 10 year old lab "Jessie"...isn't she cute with the snow frozen on her chin!

I love the diamonds in the wedding band idea too! On my wedding band there is this blank space where I've always wanted to add diamonds to represent our children. It would have to be channel set, though so we need to wait until V is home and then that is what I want for either my Mother's day or Anniversary gift. We'll be married 12 years in May, so it's been a longtime dream of mine.

I will look at that first blog....it looks so neat! I don't really scrapbook anymore.....don't have the time for some strange reason.....:-)

Thanks for your note on my blog. I tried to find an email link on your blog to contact you back, but don't see that you have one. Please do add me to your favorites -- that'd be great. I'll add yours too, once I finally get around to getting a blogroll up on my site. BTW -- I do have an email contact in my profile, if you want to use it. I'm curious if we're on the same side of the state (Michigan) but don't want to post that here.

How nice it is to meet you. Thank you for these two great leads and I especially want to thank you for coming to my little blog party and leaving a comment.

I read your previous post. Your "Mom" title sure covers lots of territory. How wonderful you're adopting a little sweetheart. I know you can't wait.

Thank you again for visiting and I hope you'll come again soon. It's really very nice to meet you.
