Sophia's First Night In Her Room...In Her Big Girl Bed...Eli Too!

Please cross your fingers and say a little prayer. Tonight is the first night that Sophia will try to sleep in her room in her big girl bed. She has been in a toddler bed in our room since July 3rd. We tried VERY UNSUCCESSFULLY to have her sleep in her own room and bed when we got home, but she just wasn't ready.
Now, we have also had issues with Eli since we came home. He wakes up all throughout the night and gets out of bed and tries to climb into bed with whoever will take him. This has been going on for three months.
So tonight I am putting them both on the bottom bunk together...one at each end. I am hoping that they will be comforted by each other and sleep in their room all night long.

We made very special preparations for tonight. Eli got a new Transformers poster that I put on his end of the bed and Sophia got a new Tinkerbell poster for her end. We also put glow in the dark stars on the wood that supports the top matress, so that when they look up they will see them.

Oh my word...I am so nervous. I HOPE THIS WORKS!!!

Good luck! I hope everyone sleeps through the night! Keep us posted! Although my kids have separate rooms, they prefer to sleep in the same room!

Sending lots of prayers that Sophia and Eli can sleep in their bed tonight! They were probably very excited about the new posters and twinkling stars! I use to have those stars in my bedroom growing up and I loved them!!!

Keep us posted!

Hugs,

Praying you guys had a good night and I am so proud of her. I am hoping when we get to Mexico that we can get the girls a bunk bed and this will excite them to sleep by themselves....until then I just enjoy snuggling with them and feeling them close to me. Good girl Sophia!

So how did sleeping in the big bed go? Jazmyn has been in her own bed since we got home, she wakes up 3-4 times a night..she usually needs to pee then she wants me to stay with her til she falls back to sleep. Makes for a long night!

I have to ask....do you keep the bedrails up all the time or do you put them down during the day? I have the same ones and it is too long for the bed! I think 'll have to add a boxspring.
