Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to the Saturday Morning Chat Group!

Good Moring Everyone and Welcome to the Saturday Morning Chat Group. It's been a while since I've been able to host the group, so I hope that everyone comes by today and says hello.

On our adoption front, we are all set for the SN program and are just waiting for a call that a baby has been found on the shared list that would be a good match for us. Please pray for us, that we will have the faith and patience to make it through all of this.

I want to let everyone know that I will be holding the Halloween Blog Contest again this year, so if you are interested in participating, you should begin getting prepared : ). I also need 3 judges, so if you would like to judge, let me know.

Also, The People's Choice Blog Awards is coming to a close. If you haven't already voted for the Seventh Diamond, I would be so grateful if you would. There is a small black link on my sidebar to the site.

IF YOU ARE NEW AND WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THE CHAT, JUST CLICK ON THE COMMENTS AND TALK WITH US : )

Now, Linda...
Your daughter is waiting for a child from China too correct?

Because bloggers this year have llearned SO many new things to do and I just know the old fashioned stuff. I'm not in the same league!

I'll change the look, just am not committing to competing.... at this time.

who knows.

Good morning all! I finally have the kids fed ;-)
Just wanted to stop in and say hello!

morning M2M!

Kim,
Congrats on your 16th month LID, I just went over and took the doll photos from your blog so I can put them on mine today.

Hopefully I'll get a good verse and can place my order.

k1 said...

BEG that EVERYONE that stops by leaves a comment to signify it's milestone status!

redmaryjanes said...

How are you doing Carla?
Your new blog looks beautiful.
I can't imagine what it takes to feed all of the kids. I have 3 home today and it was a big job.

redmaryjanes said...

Kim,
I love giveaways!
How about a set of those hairbows with the baby name on them like you sent for Sophia?

Hi, gals,
Mark Chestnut, Jason Michael Carroll, something called Country Gold, and Little Big Town.
It costs $12 to get in for the day and that includes the concert. Too bad it doesn't include a meal. That would be a deal!!!
It's a ton of tractors and steam engines-trains- antiques, crafters, an old log village, cowboys robbing the train(you never know which train or when). It is a lot of fun but after 30 or 40 years, you have seen it all.

Ruth and Brian said...

Good morning to all! Yes K1 kept me up way too late, but I still managed to pop in and say hello! (just kidding).

Carla said...

Good morning! Thanks, I really like my new look, too!
I actually cooked this morning...french toast. Not too bad. Usually we do cereal or scrambled eggs!

redmaryjanes said...

Good Morning Ruth,
How are you? Ok, we need to get a date booked for the shower so I can get some graphics made.
I am guessing at this point probably after you all are back from China.
What do you think?

k1 said...

Hi Ruth!!!!!
Welcome!

redmaryjanes said...

Tim made breakfast this morning. Eggs, sausage and toast. I've been enjoying my coffee all morning too! He is so cool to me with my Saturday Morning going to the Chat Group.

Carla said...

Linda, that sound like a ton of fun!! I like both Mark Chestnut and Jason Michael Carroll

k1 said...

Can't eat breakfast. Your's all sound good though.

redmaryjanes said...

I love Little Big Town, so does my son Zach.

You are going to have a great time Linda!

redmaryjanes said...

What does Mark Chestnut sing and Jason Michael Carroll?

Ruth and Brian said...

Hey Kimberely,
Things are going well. We received TA yesterday (so exciting), so now we are waiting for our Consulate appts. Our agency says they want to try to get us into China by the 2nd or 3rd full week in September so that means between 10-20 days from now YIKES!

Yes, I think maybe afterwards might be a better time, that also gives you time as well.

Carla said...

I like Little Big Town, too!!

Linda ★ Parker's General said...

Yes. Sara is waiting for another step in the process. I don't understand or remember all the call letters but I know they know who she is and her story and she gets pictures and updates. This is a happy time for them. I can't pretend to know or understand what is going on or what prospective parents go through but I know it is a long process and can have many snafus. I read alot of adoption blogs and know that every experience is different.

k1 said...

I am getting excited for Ruth to go get Abigail. We spent last night discussing travel trips and looking at (too many) photos!

Ruth and Brian said...

Hey K1,
Brian said he'd offer to make me breakfast too. "Hey Ruth, you want me to make you a bowl of cereal or cold pizza??"

Carla said...

I wish my husband was home to make me coffee...his is good, mine ISN'T!!!! lol

redmaryjanes said...

Holy Cow Ruth!
You guys are moving really fast. I never understand why some families get to go really fast and others have to wait a long time after they are matched.

I am good shape now. I am back from visiting my family. I spent some great time with my Grandmother. She seems to be doing well and her cancer is under control for now.

My agency isn't doing things exactly the way we'd hoped, but we are hanging in there.

If we can get a date down, I can find someone to work on a graphic, or would you rather wait until you all are back.

I'll bet you are just over the moon!

Ruth and Brian said...

The photos were fabulous. What a way to get excited looking at all the cool places we'll be able to see.

Thanks again K1 for coming and sharing with us. We truly appreciate it.

redmaryjanes said...

Oh man, cold pizza???
That's a man for you : )

redmaryjanes said...

I wish K1 would come to visit here sister here in MI so I could meet her : )

Kim said...

I am going to do a post at teh end of my 3 word sunday also tomorrow.. so everyone knows that the sale is goingon..
Hopefully she gets lots of Asian princess...
Well I am signing off..
have things to do.. maybe I will do a post on ideas for 500th post giveaway..
Hugs to youall.. glad I could chat for once..

redmaryjanes said...

Linda,

That sounds very good. It sounds like your daughter has been matched and is waiting to travel to bring your new Granddaughter home.

Ruth and Brian said...

Kimberely,
Yes, it is moving fast! One of the reasons is because our I-171H expires on Oct 12, 2008 and they gave me the instruction not to re-file back in July, so now with it coming closer and closer they are making sure we make it there and back on time.

As for a date, I really am pretty open - it depends on how fast you think you can get things together. We could do next Saturday the 6th, but I would hesitate to do it the following week because I don't know what our travel dates are yet.

redmaryjanes said...

Have a great weekend Kim!
I'll e-mail you when I have everything picked out and my order is in.
How long did it take you to get your doll?

redmaryjanes said...

I know I can't get it all together by next Saturday.

I have two ladies who usually do my graphics and I like to give them some time to get them done.

Also, it's good to get the word out on other blogs so that people know to come.

I don't think we'd have a good turn-out in a week.

How about the Saturday Morning after you get back? Do you know when you are getting back?

Linda ★ Parker's General said...

Jason sings-Alyssa Lies and I'll Sleep When I'm Dead.
Mark is from a few years back and did- Too Cold at Home and Going through the Big D.
Hubby is back. Gotta get to work.
I enjoyed my first live chat. Thanks everyone and you, especially, Kim. You've been a good friend to me throughtout this first year of blogging. I salute you, applaud you, pray for you and thank you.

redmaryjanes said...

Linda,

You have been a dear friend to me as well.
Thank you for all of your support.

Have fun today. I know Alyssa Lies, I can't listen to it. I cry everytime. It is an amazing song.

Kim said...

well she was really backed up.. so it took awhile.. about 3 -4 weeks.. but mine was the first asian doll so we were trying to figure it out.. now that she has it down.. piece of cake..
Hugs to you..
hoping to send out your package by late next week..
Hugs..

redmaryjanes said...

Thank you so much Kim. You are such a cool friend!

Ruth and Brian said...

The Saturday after we get home would work great - providing we don't get home late Friday night :-)

I will let you know once I get dates established so we can pick a good date.

Ruth and Brian said...

K1,
I totally forgot to put a candle in your dessert last night - so I figured I could just do it virtually.

Ready...candle lit..."Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Karen, Happy birthday to you!" For all those who didn't know K1 had a special birthday on Thursday.

Kim said...

Thank you girly..
Back at you..
Love ya.. you and Steffie started me on blogging and I have met a tons of ladies.. amazing people..
Hugs..Your the best..

k1 said...

My computer kicked me off. Jut got back.

Bye Kim.
I WOULD eat cold pizza for breakfast.

Ruth and Brian said...

And I would serve it to you!!!

Desiree' said...

Ok, had to come back and comment on the doll verses. We use the bible verse with our kids name in them. (check sidebar of my blog) I pick one that I really like. When I order Grace's doll I will add her verse. Just an idea....now back to running the sweeper....

Kim said...

Bye everyone..
Have a Great Weekend..

k1 said...

Thank you, Ruth.

Kimberley, I WILL get back to MI SOMETIME. Just don't know when.

redmaryjanes said...

Desiree,
I think that is wonderful, but I don't think there is a verse with Sophia in it.

redmaryjanes said...

I would and have eaten cold pizza for breakfast!
Too funny!

redmaryjanes said...

I know you will Karen. Maybe Christmas?
How's Mav? I see he's one of your 'interests' on your blog.....

k1 said...

So have I. I think it's a Midwest thing.

redmaryjanes said...

K1!!
It was your Birthday??
Happy Birthday Girl!

So...what did Mav get you?

Ruth and Brian said...

Actually, the morning is the best time to eat pizza because of the carb content. Carbs give you the boost/energy to get moving and better to have it when you are ready to go than in the evening when we are more sedentary. Sorry K1

k1 said...

Yes, it was. You left a comment, silly.

Mav gave me flowers, a gift certificate to a mechanic for my little car, and car wash supplies for both cars. (and, yes, they are needed.) Unfortunately, I think I have to do the washing myself.

k1 said...

In my opinion, pizza is good ANYTIME of the day, Hot or Cold

redmaryjanes said...

I am trying to watch my carbs at night. I'm hoping to shed some pounds. If I could lose 20 pounds I would be so happy.

redmaryjanes said...

Karen,
I'm a dork!

k1 said...

And, he bought me lunch at Panda Express

redmaryjanes said...

Ok ladies,

I have been on since 8am. Eli is whining to go outside and play with bubbles. Evidently the pump on the dishwasher is clogged, so Tim has to fix it.
So, I'm going to head out.
But you ladies can chat on here as long as you like.

Have a great weekend!

Ruth,
Let me know a good date : )

k1 said...

You are Not a dork. (Gee, Ruth, who else have I had to say that to lately?)

Ruth and Brian said...

Thanks for letting me join your Sat chat group!

Kimberely, I will let you know.

Have a great Labor day weekend.

Ruth and Brian said...

K1 - looks like that word is universal and it's fun to say! Try it sometime.

k1 said...

Bye all! Have a great weekend

k1 said...

I get scolded if I say self depreciating things!
