Today is my son Zachary's 16th Birthday! I can tell that this is going to be an emotional day for me. This is a big birthday. He will be getting his driver's license and is buying a car from his father. I am so proud of him. He doesn't want a 'big deal'. So, I got him some chocolates from Mary Ann's which are his favorites. He has asked for money, so we are giving him money for his birthday. I have a cake to pick up at noon and friends and family will be sharing his special day with him.
Happy Birthday Zach. I love you more than I could ever put into words. You have carried my heart in the palm of your hand since the day you were born.

I remember turning 16 (barely :) and the excitement of that day, getting a drivers license...I hope I remember those feelings when it's Powell's turn!!

Happy 16th Birthday Zach. I can remember Josh turning 16 last summer. It was so emotional for me. Letting them go in the car by themselves is sooooo hard. Part of you wants them to grow up, but then another part wants them to stay small.
