Remember my friend who has been in a very physically and verbally abusive marriage for the past 6 years? She called me yesterday to tell me that she left him. Now, I have had this same phone call about 6 times now. But she's been gone for 3 weeks, she signed a 1 year lease on a condo and packed up everything she had while he was on a business trip....even half of the Christmas ornaments. I think this might really be true. Please pray with me that she doesn't go back this time. She has 3 children who have been been verbally abused, threatened and have witnessed everything that has happened to her. Two are grown now, but one is still with her. They need this to be 'real this time' too.

I will definitely pray...this will not be an easy time for your friend, for sure! Only God can heal her heart and give her the strength she'll need.

I will say a pray for your friend to stay strong.
And no, I am not Irish. :)
Oh how I remember you sharing this story with me on one of our GNO....I'll keep her in my prayers!
Have a great weekend!
It is possible to leave and survive and eventually flourish. I am living proof. When you talk to your friend, tell her a support group is a great help; the fellowship, the being able to talk to someone that really understands. It really helps. And a good faith group; maybe a church family...just a thought.
