'Fess Up!!!
its cool and overcast...
Hello, R!!
I was reading your comments about the weather ... it was 86 here yesterday. Perfect flip flop and capri weather! :)
Well,
That is a month and a half away. You could get the pants a tad long and you should be ok.
Man,
I would love a flip flop day. The highs for today and tomorrow are 40, but that's warmer than we have been having. Yesterday hit 50 and I thought it was a heatwave!
Ooohhh...the flower guy????
I can't wear flip-flops. Can't stand the strap between my toes.
Funny how K1 intrigues us, then disappears for a while, isn't it?
Nancy, you're right!
Yeah, K1, you can't bring a guest and then not intruduce them....
anyone have any cool summer trips planned?
anyone have any cool summer trips planned?
Haha, I just commented on the wrong post. I definitely need more coffee. Anyway, good morning ladies!
Oh, the thoughts going through my head that I won't say out loud.
Well,
A big hello to R.
I have heard good things about you.
Hello again
No trips planned here. Waiting to see if the house sells. Would love to drive to North Dakota with my boys and dad this summer if I can afford it.
We're spending a week at a beach house in Gulf Shores, AL this year Amy, how about you?
I'm still here. on phone and computer at same time
To answer earlier questions, I went to take a shower. I am going out in a few moments to help with a American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraiser, then to pllay cards at a local pub
Two guys in view at once...will we be able to handle it?????
Welcome back Michael. Hello R!!!
We have heard nice things about you.
Besides that, I am okay with the wait. I wish it was shorter, but I am not stressing over it. I appreciate that so many people think things will speed up, but I don't have much optimism in that.
Michael my husband is the same way. However he won't schedule a vacation until we get into June to see how China is moving, just in case there is a chance we could go late in the year. He wants to save his vacation time.
Hi there!
Another box in the mail for the Starfish babes. I should be able to fit it into one of the 4 boxes we have left to ship.
Good Morning Marla!
How are you?
Doing good Kimberley. Getting ready to enjoy a beautiful spring Texas day.
I was so thrilled to see the boxes are shipped!
We have more storms coming - in case the national nes of our storms last night was not enough....
Michael,
You have planned a great day.
Yeah, my husband is pretty content with our adoption too.
I'm going on a cruise to Mexico in April with Lisa and Cheryl.
don't know if I will get to go to China with TB or not
I am thrilled too. We got six of them out last night. I have the tracking numbers posted if you scroll up, or I can send them to you if you want to follow them.
I let Amanda know, so she is on the look out. Fed Ex said she will have them by next Monday if all goes well in customs.
Nancy, my sis can't stand anything between her toes either
I'm hoping to go to China ... we'll see if God works that one out!
Oh fun, a cruise! I love chick trips. I have a group of about 6 friends that I travel to Mexico with each June. We're still trying to decide where we're going this year. We went to Cabo last year and it was great.
Great, I'll track the packages too. The numbers are in the comments here?
We're going to Cozumel and Progresso
I have never been on a cruise. I would love it. Tim and I have talked about it, but it will have to be later.
I so feel for those of you waiting. I was very discouraged by our agency's newsletter this week about the time frames. It makes it hard for us even to recommend China to people know that it will take so many years for them to get their babies home. :(
They are but you have to look back a little ways.
If you don't see them, let me know and I will send you an e-mail.
I saw the news coverage on the storms in Atlants while at the gym. Do you think it was a tornado? When we lived in Indy and a storm like that hit, they rule it a micro-burst despite the damage.
How fun K1, I have a friend who just got home from that same cruise. I think they left from Tampa.
We went out to dinner last night at Texas Roadhouse. A baseball team from North Dakota State University was there.
We had to wait until the 35 of them were seated. Then we got put in their section.
Crazy...but some good eye candy!!!!
we are leaving from Mobile.
Am going to go now. Everyone have a great weekend
LOL @ eye candy, Nancy! :)
K1 I have never bought my children flip-flops - ever - because of my hangup.
I went on a cruise to Cozumel last May -- loved it! It was so relaxing!!
The wait times are very discouraging. But there are other countries now that are moving along.
Sounds like a tornado, there were reports fo a funnel cloud being spotted, but I don't think the AWS has confirmed anything. They are going to have to finish the SEC men's basketball tournament at the arena on the campus of GA Tech, which holds about 9000 as compared to the 40000 the GA Dome holds
The best part of the evening was when some really cute college girls were seated near us. Every guy followed them with their eyes until they sat down.
Have fun Karen!
Listen to you Nancy!
Hot Waiter will be so jealous!
Alright ... I'm off to do school work (ick!). Have a nice weekend!
goodmorning from the west coast
What can I say...gotta have my eye candy in every port.
My husband was offended the first time I went to the gym with him and told him there was no eye candy for me to watch on the lower floor. (He was up on the treadmills with me)
Bye Ashley, you too!
I've got to head out to the fund raiser - see y'all later
Bye Michael, Bye Ashley
Are you guys going to register and vote for the Blogger's Choice Awards?
Come on now....vote for us!
See you Ashley and Michael~
Good Morning Chrissie! Great to see you!
I did Kimberley! :)
MIchaels gone, Im back
Marla,
You found the tracking numbers?
I haven't looked yet, I'll get them later.
I meant that I had voted for y'all!
Welcome back Amy.
Thanks Marla!
Hi there Amy!
So, Shiloh is the 'in' name now? I'll bet because of Shiloh Pitt.
Crystal leaves in two days to pick up Savannah-Hope. I am so excited for her! Thought she might be here this morning. I guess she is busy with the last minute details and getting those extra hugs and kisses from the four children she will leave behind. All of which are sick right now....making it that much harder to leave them.
Oh goodness, I'm so sorry her kiddos are sick. That would be awful, it's hard enough to leave when they're feeling well.
Are you going with her Chrissie? She said she was going with someone.
Good Morning Ladies!! We are having a yucky snowstorm here today so we are staying home and just relaxing and maybe playing some board games later tonight. I am hoping to get some blog reading done today and hopefully a much needed new post on my own.
Smiles! :o)
Nikki
I'm not worried about leaving the older children, but I think Eli will really have a hard time. He's never been away from us. He will probably be over 4 when we go though.
Hi Nikki! Sorry about the snowstorm. Staying home and relaxing sounds good, though. :)
Getting ready to vote
I hope Savannah's paperwork gets there in time and there isn't a hold up there.
Hi there Nikki! Great to see you this morning. I don't want to hear about more snow. I was hoping Spring is on its way.
WOOHOO! Thanks Amy, please vote for us everyone.
It's kind of a pain because you have to register, but you can put in whatever you want.
Shiloh is getting popular. We have a spring, summer and winter this past monthg
Springzona was an odd name
No don't get to go. But I will be in close communication by phone as the Malawi phone lines allow. I hope to make a trip back to TN for Savannah-Hope's first birthday on May 5th. Crystal is traveling with a woman (Mrs. Miller) who is from one of the churches that support our orphanage in Malawi. She has traveled there before and is the perfect match for Crystal's travel companion.
I will be updating Crystal's blog for her while she is in Malawi.
www.johnsonangels.blogspot.com
Chrissie please give Crystal my best wishes on her journey. I hope all her kiddos are feeling better soon.
Jakob was 4 and 6 when we traveled and he did great both times. Jaden was only 2 1/2 when we traveled for Jacey and it was harder for her, but she was spoiled rotten by my FIL and his wife, so she did fine. My dh came home after a week, so that helped too.
Thank you Nancy for praying for Savannah-Hope's paper work. Surprising how difficult the state of TN has been to work with.
If you guys are voting, please vote for www.cfhusband.blogspot.com
hes in the lead. Its the most amazing blog. Hes married to a wonderful woman with CF who became pregnant while waiting a lunch transplant.. Baby Gwenyth was born over 3 months early and is doing sooo well
I hope the trip goes well for them and can't wait to follow along.
I thought spring was on it's way too, but low and behold it is snowing like crazy outside my window right now, YUCK! I am heading over to register and vote right now.
I've seen that blog Amy! (can't remember how I got there) It is really amazing.
I will give Crystal all of your good wishes and let her know you will be praying for her. Please follow along on her blog. Im running off now to watch my nephew while my sister goes to work. He is such a cutie, even if he does call me "Aunt Tushy". (He can't quite get the "cr" sound)
Bye Chrissie. LOL @ Tushy, that's cute. :)
I think this whole Savannah adoption is a miracle, so I do have faith that Crystal will be able to bring her home safely. Everything has been falling into place. They are an amazing family.
Have a great day Aunt Tushy! I'm going to remember that one...I think you have a nickname.
I'll have to check that blog out.
We won't win, but it's fun to check on the votes.
So...how are the 4 J's?
Savannah-Hope is just too precious. I'd love to kiss those sweet little cheeks!
Just voted.
Now, I need to deliver chocolate from my son's fundraiser and get the day's errands started.
Have a great weekend all.
They're doing great. They are on spring break now so we're all looking forward to sleeping in and goofing off all week.
Ok you guys have to vote on best celebrity blogger. Rosie is in the lead./ Chris Sign (american idol last year, looks like an osborne) is a Christian and has a great blog
Vote for him..This is too fun! Dont forget 7th Diamond!! Its not hard to register at all
I'll go back and check out the other categories. I didn't even really look around when I was there, I just voted and left.
ok I am done vote..haha
We are getting more storms now
I'm back. R's battery died. Think he'll be calling back, but wanted to come back over here for a bit.
A tornado in GA, huh? I remember those when I lived in MI. Did the sky turn green?
We just had pouring rain here during the night. Made it REALLY hard to wake up for the chat this morning since I am conditioned to sleep through rain storms, especially thunderstorms.
Have a great weekend Nancy! I have to go pretty soon too. I have to make cookies for Tyler's church sleepover.
We are having sunshine and 70's today. It doesn't get much better than that.
welcome back K1
Welcome back Karen!
You guys can send some of that chocolate and cookies out this way! Nevermind. I so don't need them. 20 more pounds to loose. Ugh.
I should go fire up the washer and dryer soon, too. I swear I don't know how we go through so many clothes. It's like 12 people live here instead of just 6.
70's sounds perfect. I would love to have 70's today.
We are that way too, always drowning in laundry. I can't believe how it piles up.
This chat MAY still be being monitored, so if so, Hi R!
March and April are the best months to live in Texas. Come May I'll be complaining about the heat. :)
I don't know who R is, but hello if you're here! :)
Hmmm...that's ok. We don't have any secrets here. Read on 'R'.
Alright, my coffee is gone, so I guess I should get up from here and get on with my day. Y'all have a great weekend!
I'm going to sign off too! We have to get moving.
Have a great weekend everyone!!
the rain has started
I should go through my closet and weed it out. I have way too many clothes, which leads to a lot of laundry. I realized while I was in Honduras that I have more stuff than a family of seven has down there. Actually, several families of seven could probably divide up what I have and live more than comfortably.
Bye everyone! See ya next weekend
Bye all.
Enjoy your day everyone! See you next weekend!
Smiles! :o)
Nikki
