I am working on this. Last Sunday the sermon was on loving others. And it wasn't just the normal love your neighbor. The challenge given to us was to love people who don't love you or even like you...the people who are mean to you, drive you nuts and who you want to see have a bad day because they have made several of yours miserable. Yeah, those people. This is hard.

Ohhhhh sound like I need to listen to that one right now.
So hard to love the nasty one.
Happy Sunday to you Kim! :)
Lots of love!!!
So true! Have a great Sunday!
yep, one I think we all ahve to work on. A good time to do it at the first of the year. Have a wonderful Sun and thank you for praying for Ayla.
It takes a very big and special person to be able to do that.
This is definitely one that I need to work on. :)
"Love thy enemies"
I prefer to ignore them, much easier would need some serious work to get past the nasty and into the love.
But I do love your snowglobe on your heading.
That sounds like the same sermon we just had today. As I was listening to the preacher I thought easier said than done!!!!
Yes, that is a tough one. Its easy to love your friends and family, but oh so hard to love the person who cuts you off in traffic or talking loud in a movie.
so hard that I put this on my blog as a reminder for a few days! Thanks!
OH you have no idea how this hit home. Must have been meant for me to see.
I just found out that a certain person that has been absolutely horrible to myself and my family is snooping around in my blog.
So I guess then I need to just let it go......
you just have to be nice to them. Mean people do not understand nice, it throws them for a loop. I don't think you have to love them like your family, just do no evil to them. Turn the other cheek, and walk away. if you don't let them draw you into their game, they soon go away..I don't believe God wants you to be phoney, just don't do anything to continue the meanness..Linda
That is hard because some people are, like you said, just plain old mean! Enjoy your evening!
Thank you for a powerful message. Yes, it is hard to love the "ugly" but sometimes we don't know what has made them "ugly". I don't think people start out that way....
I love your new blog! Gorgeous. You have such a warm heart.
Our Pastor speaks of this often and I am glad, because it is one of those things I need to be reminded of-often! Yes, it is quite easy to love those who treat us well, but sooo hard to love those that are horrible to us. It helps me to keep in mind that I am doing it for Jesus and it really has nothing to do with the said person.
Hope that makes sense! : )
Oh yikes, I definitely need to work on this one. Thanks for the reminder!
Ooooh, could have used that sermon! I have a SIL that can really dish it out!! Hope you are having a wonderful week!
