We're Heading Home Today...

Usually we try to leave at around 8pm at night when we head out for a road trip. That way most of the kids sleep the majority of the way. We still had so much to do last night though, that we weren't able to get out. I'm hoping Eli will handle being on the road all day today ok. I was up at 4am yesterday to hit the after day after Thanksgiving sales with my sister, her boyfriend, dad, my brother Rob and Kate. I bought a LOT of movies. They were super cheap with the holiday sales, so we'll be watching those today.
I have no idea how we're going to get the truck packed. My father bought us a very large remote control airplane for the family for Christmas. Some of the boxes for it are 5 feet long. Tim is thrilled to no end with it and wouldn't let my dad ship it. Fitting us all in will be interesting to say the least. We'll be home tonight.
I hate leaving my family. It's really emotional for me. It's hard for me to get back more than once a year and I miss them so much. This was a great year because my brother made it back. We said our goodbye's last night. He hugged me so hard I couldn't breathe.

Sounds like it was a great time.So glad you were able to spend time together.
Sounds to me like maybe Tim is the biggest of the kids, not wanting to (WAIT) for the air plane to be shipped.
I just hope he helps unpack the car befor he gets it out to play with.LOLOL

Have safe travels today. I hope the trip home goes by quick. I feel just like that when I go home I am so sad to leave my family it takes a few weeks for me to get out of the dumps.

I'm hoping you have speedy and safe travels, and that you aren't poked by that RC airplane if hubby stops too fast! Welcome home.

Have a safe trip back!
It is so tough to leave your loved ones. We try to go back to France every year and half and each time it's so bad when we have to leave. Xmas without them is especially hard.
Glad you had a great time!

So glad you had such a great time. Can you believe we used to travel without a TV in the car? I can't even imagine.

It is the stories you share about, with & for Family. We were up until midnight laughing & talking about everything. Also those dreaded stories your Mom brings up year after year about you as a teenager. Now my kids know them by heart - great.
