STILL in Des Moines...and it's not looking good.

Ok, it's day 3 in Des Moines. The dealership said that there are no catalytic converters (don't know how to spell that) in the city and that one will have to be overnighted which means another day here. We're looking at at least $900 in car repairs and a third day of food for 6 and hotel accommodations. Not good when I still have Christmas gifts to buy. Oh well, what can we do?

This sounds so much like our family trips to visit our grandparents in Knoxville, TN when I was younger. We were always having car issues on our trips.

Hmmmm . . . a new minivan for Christmas??? Tee Hee. Guess you will have visited every tourist spot in Des Moines. Maybe you can call Becky B and have her drive over to hang with you (only 4 hours) -- Hey, I'm only 4 hours away too. Let's party!!! You do have a pool, right???

I'm sorry you are still stuck in Des Moines. I just hate car issues. Hey, I'm just 4 hours east of you and could come and get you all if necessary. :) Thanks for the compliment about my Christmas blog...isn't the Blogfairy the greatest?

So bummed for you. Not fun, not fun at all. Well, it might be fun for the kids, as they're missing school and all (and watching movies, and going out to eat, and swimming in the hotel pool... I guess it's just not fun for you and Tim.)

Aren't you glad you have your computer so you can blog about it? ; -)

Love, love, love the new 3 Kings header.

I am telling you Becky and I could be there real soon. What better way to enjoy yourself then to meet the oh so famous Mr.Brian.
So sorry a wonderful time had to end on such a cruddy note.Hope you are on the road and home soon.
Keep the posative attitude.
I heard of a young 26 year old who was killed this weekend leaving a husband and 1 year old daughter.
Guess that makes a few nights in a motel seem pretty minor.
Enjoy every minute you have with your family, and thank the good Lord you are all together.
I know you are making the best of it. You are such a wonderful women.Your family is very blesed to have you as a mom and wife.
Blessings
Mr.Brian

Too bad you couldn't be stranded somewhere more exotic. (I've never actually been to Des Moines...so nothing against it.)

Hope you get home safe and soon.

I'm late checking in! I am so sorry you were stranded. I guess it's good you left during the day instead of night. Car repairs are never fun.
