Being the Irish family that we are, each year on the night after Halloween, we celebrate All Saints Eve. We light a candle for each person in our family who has passed on and we think about them and tell some of their stories. This year there is a new candle. We miss you Grandma Fran.

I am sure you have wonderful memories of loved ones passed.Always cherish them.
I love family traditions, remembering and honouring them is beautiful.
Sorry a new candle was added this year.
What a great way to remember your loved ones.
Being an Irish/German Roman Catholic, I am familiar with All Saints/All Souls Days but, always lit our candles at Church. I am truely sorry for your loss. When my Grandma F. passed on , I thought the world was ending and I still miss her so much...It is good to remember all the good things......
Another Irish family! I didn't know you were Irish! It's a great tradition, but I'm sorry to hear that you had to add an additional candle this year. I've been trying to catch up on the blog.
Thank you for all the kind comments and emails when I was sick Kim, it was so very nice of you and made me feel cared about.
I love the boy's Halloween costumes!
That's a very beautiful tradition. I'm sorry you have a new candle this year.
