What Should I Get My Husband Tim for His Birthday???

Any suggestions on a good Birthday gift for Tim? I am totally stumped. He has everything! He's turning 39. He's an outdoorsman (he fishes and hunts), he's a computer and networking geek, he's a big guy (6'3" and weighs about 250). Whenever I ask him about something, he says it's not what he wants, but he can't tell me a single thing he does want. What are some things that are on your men's wish lists?
Don't worry, he never reads my blog.

Let's see. That's always a hard one. I bought him an ipod before the beach. He loved it there, but hasn't looked at it since. I bought him XM radio for his truck. He loves that. I got him a bow case one year, and he was excited. For Christmas, I would have bought him this really cool LSU wooden cooler, but he went and bought it himself. Sorry, not much help.

How about a homemade booklet of coupons for things you can do for him...a night out just you two, a special sexual fantasy (wink wink), his favorite dinner...you get the picture...just what a man who has it all would like!!!

Jennifer, Maybe a hunting bow, he doesn't have one. I called him after your comment and he's thinking about that one-first time he's thinking about something.

Dannye,
That is a great idea for both of us! I got that big book of fantasy nights, where you each pick one and give it to the other. I did mine for him and he didn't do his for me-I was so mad at him. But, a little book of love coupons would bring a smile I'm sure!

DH just got a new stainless gas grill... he's pretty excited about it. Pretty pricey birthday gift, though.

We don't necessarily do a present (we've been together almost 20 years), but we'll go out to eat at his favorite special place, and make it his special day that way.

Ya hubbys are hard to buy for. Recenlty I bought my man a set of hot under clothes (short tight boxers and tank top style) I walked into the room wearing them for him... that went over very well.
Then there was the time I wrote him a check that read "Hubby bday shopping spree". Then we all went out to the stores and helped him pick stuff and try stuff on.
Good luck

If is a geek like my Hubby, a wii, a gps, a new hard drive, a camera, the new imac (my bank account is not happy right now!).
Or for outdoor stuff a gps again, a fishing weekend with his friends, a nice knife (like swiss army stuff)...

PS your super sweet package arrived yesterday and i've posted it today.
Thank you so much. Everything was completely perfect and things I would have chosen for myself.

WOW, our hubbies are the same size!
I say a gift card to a sports shop. My Hubs loves when I do that. Bass Pro Shop, or something like that.

we don't do presents often... I don't have any fresh ideas...Sometimes a birthday dinner or outing thats about it for us.

One of the most fun gifts I gave my hubby one year was a guys night in package.
I am always on K2 about junk food (I'm one to talk, eh?) and decided to give him a night of no worries. I went to the beer store and bought several different kinds of beers that I knew he never bought because they are usually too expensive (i.e., one Guinness, one Newcastle Brown Ale, One Stella Artois, etc.). Then, I bought a cooler and filled it with his favorite off limits snacks (potato chips, nachos, chocolate, etc.) and three of his favorite DVDs. He loved it!

Your husband sounds just like mine: IMPOSSIBLE to shop for. I can't ever figure out what to get him. My problem is that if there is something he wants either A) he's already bought it, or B) we can't afford it.

How about a weekend away? or tickets to something?

I was going to say a gift certificate to Bass pro shop tucked inside a picnic basket packed with wine, two glasses, cheese, crackers and no children. HMMM...
dessert may follow...

My hubby collects guitars. I would buy him a Paul Reed Smith---if I could afford it.....He would love me forever too.

My husband is a hunter and hunting season is gong to open in a couple months.. He always loves stuff like that even it's little. Does he have all that stuff.

I can tell you what my hubby wants, motorcycle lessons. He doens't even own a motorcycle.

Is he a thrill seeker? Maybe a skydiving lesson. My cousin's wife got him that and he LOVED it.

You guys are great, I'm going to have to figure out what combination of things to get for him, or one thing if it's kind of expensive. I don't want to spend over $100 though.

are booze and cigarettes not the essence of love anymore?

Does he have a GPS? Shawn has one now and he loves it.

most men adore food and the gift of love...they are pretty simple creatures to keep happy :) Wrap yourself in a pretty little package (maybe an edible one) and have a great time! It'll be a birthday he won't forget.

If that doesn't interest you then make a family game of his favorite sport; football, baseball, golf, fishing??? Have the family pitch in and do something together with cake and treats that are themed to the sport. Most men may act tough but they are still little boys on the inside and the thing that makes my boys LOVE birthdays is the cake. Get creative and come up with a good theme and amaze him with the wonders of cake. Most cake decorators love to go beyond the basic sheet cake and make works of art, you should be able to find someone near you that could pull off a masterpiece. Good Luck and may all those wishes come true! ;)

I would be just as bad to buy for.I buy what i need and if I do not have the $$$$$ I do without.
For me I would enjoy a nice dinner out with my darling wife.
Except I do not have that darling wife.So I go out with my parents.
But hey my mom is pretty nice looking for early 70's
My vote a nice dinner alone just the two of you and then go sit in some park and just talk.....
Or go buy yourself some nice thing and say...... well you would'nt tell me what you wanted so I bought something for myself instead.LOLOLOL
