- I am an everyday woman. I am married to my soulmate. I have three sons ages 16,13 & 4. Adoption was never something that I had planned to do, but through an interesting path, God has led me and my husband to pursue the adoption of our daughter Sophia from China. It has changed me in so many ways. I cannot wait to look in the mirror and see the woman I will be when this journey is over.

I hope that at the least the wait doesn't extend any longer than it currently is. I hope even more that there is a speed up and that the CCAA at least starts matching 2 weeks worth of dossiers each month instead of between 2-6 days worth.

It's a milestone for sure! I'll be waiting with u for the wonderful day we don't have to celebrate them anymore.
I have to ask a foolish question (especially for one as well educated in adoption as I am!) but what does LID actually stand for? Adopting domestically, we don't actually use all these initials. =)
