My Heart is the Foundation from which My Children Grow...

Last night I went fishing out on the dock with Tyler. He is very big on us spending one on one time together and I truly love his company. He was telling me about some of his friends who he had grown apart from this year and was really pretty emotional about it. We talked and fished for quite some time. It was a very tender time.
Zachary on the way home today was talking about the girl he likes at school. He's kind of shy about it, but I just love that he shares these things with me. We talk about life, love, friends and yes, even sex. I am so glad that I am someone he trusts to share his life secrets with and someone who he seeks out for advice.
Elijah is two, so his whole little being is about Mommy and Daddy. The nurturing, the comfort and the center of his life though is me. And I cherish every minute.
The most wonderful part of motherhood for me is watching my children grow and mature from infancy and toddler years, adolescence to adulthood. Each stage twists them through my heart and soul over and over again. There are times when they need me desperately and times when they pull away and seek their own identities.
My heart is always open and my soul is always yearning for their return. But I know the days will come when their visits will lessen and lessen. So for now, I'm fishing, playing with lego blocks and listening about the girl my son admires from afar.

How I wish i knew you beyond blog land. You seam to be such a genuinly kind loving mom and friend. You are always thinking of others in such a loving way.
I think I am safe to say you have a wonderful relationship with the Lord and it shows. You shine with love and compassion.
It also sounds like you have a great relationship with your children. That my dear is something you can never put a price on.My wish for you is to continue to be the best darn mom ever and keep teaching your kids to show love and kindness the way you show it to others.
In my book you are a wonderful women.
Not ot to many people ask for others to pray for others the way you do.I love that.We can never have to many people praying for us in time of need.

As I sit hear I cry reading your post... You are an exeptional MOM and you love your kids so dearly...

I needed some "ME" time and I always find it relaxing to read your blog and this is what I found. I just hung up the phone with my son who is on vacation in PR and we had an argument over something I am not in agreement that he wants to do... And the sad part is that tomorrow is his birthday and he will probrably be mad at me and that makes my heart ache so bad How I wish I could reach out to him the way you do with your own loving children.

You give me hope when I feel I am not doing the right things..

Thank you for being so tender and just for being you on your blog. Today witht that post you have reached my soul...

However you have

I wish I'd have been able to talk to my Mom, about anything!, when I was younger. Even today, it's not easy. Your kids are blessed to have you, and you sound very blessed to have them.

That sounds like my life right now. we've been explaining a lot of the birds and bess to the oldest, teaching the middle to ride a two wheeler and changing diapers and chasing Kate out of danger. We are lucky though aren't we. You sound like an awesome Mom!
